Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Cardinals are making both Kyle Lohse and Jake Westbrook available for trade. This confirms previous reports on Lohse, but evidently Westbrook is up for grabs, as well. Of course, Lohse is set to make $11.75 million in 2012 and has a no-trade clause, while Westbrook will earn $8.5 million following a year where he posted a 4.66 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. It's been speculated that the Cards could deal either hurler to make room for Mark Buehrle, or perhaps it would just be to free up more money to re-sign Albert Pujols.

Manager Tony La Russa announced Jake Westbrook will be the first arm out of the bullpen tonight. Westbrook has two appearances this postseason and earned the win in Game 6 by pitching a scoreless 11th inning. After being left off the Cardinals roster for the NLDS, he replaced Kyle McClellan on the World Series roster earlier this month.

Jake Westbrook will replace Kyle McClellan on the Cardinals' roster for the World Series. Another expected move. Westbrook was on the roster for the NLDS against the Phillies, but did not appear in a game. The veteran right-hander will pitch as a long man out of the bullpen if one of the Cardinals' starters are chased early.

Jake Westbrook informed reporters Tuesday that he has been added to St. Louis' World Series roster. Although Cardinals skipper Tony La Russa hasn't announced his official World Series roster, the public is already aware of the organization's moves because players are letting the media know what they have been told. In short: Westbrook and Skip Schumaker are in and Kyle McClellan and Adron Chambers are out. Westbrook was on the ALDS roster but has not yet appeared in a postseason game. He gives St. Louis a long-relief option out of the bullpen. Westbrook posted a 4.66 ERA over 33 starts this season and is 5-1 with a 4.76 ERA in 10 career starts against Texas.

According to Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Jake Westbrook could be restored to the Cardinals' roster for the World Series against the Rangers. It's not yet known who he would replace on the active roster. Westbrook and Skip Schumaker (oblique) were left off the roster during the NLCS in favor of right-handers Kyle McClellan and Lance Lynn. The veteran right-hander was assigned to the bullpen during the NLDS, but did not make an appearance.

The Cardinals will replace Jake Westbrook on the NLCS roster. Westbrook was on the NLDS roster as a long man out of the bullpen but did not appear in a game. Former Cardinal and current 101 ESPN Radio analyst Chris Duncan indicated that Westbrook is dealing with a broken toe, but the Cards have not confirmed that report. Either way, he'll be replaced by a reliever, as two of Kyle McClellan, Lance Lynn and Eduardo Sanchez are expected to take the spots of Westbrook and Skip Schumaker (oblique).

Jake Westbrook notched his 12th win Sunday, limiting the Braves to two runs on five hits and a walk over 5 1/3 innings in the 6-3 victory. The Cardinals would've liked to have seen him go deeper into the game, something Westbrook has struggled to do all year, but it was ultimately a solid outing. The veteran now sports a 3.65 ERA over 12 second-half outings after a 5.34 mark prior to the All-Star break. He'll face the Phillies next weekend.

Jake Westbrook yielded three runs (two earned) over six innings in Monday's loss to the Brewers. He struck out a season-high nine in a losing cause, which was more than his previous three outings combined. Westbrook allowed nine hits (including a solo homer by Ryan Braun) while issuing just one walk. He'll carry a 4.65 ERA into a start against the Wild-Card leading Braves this weekend.

Jake Westbrook did it all for St. Louis on Wednesday, allowing three runs (two earned) on eight hits in five innings of work in addition to hitting a grand slam in an 8-3 Cardinals victory in Milwaukee. The home run was the first of Westbrook's career. He entered tonight with just six RBI in 95 lifetime plate appearances. The start was far from his best, however, as he failed to complete at least six innings of work for just the second time in nine outings. The owner of a 3.73 ERA in 62 2/3 innings since the All-Star break, he'll get the Brewers again on Monday.

Jake Westbrook allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings on Friday, taking a no-decision in St. Louis' 5-4 win over the Pirates. He struck out three and walked five. The non-quality outing was just Westbrook's third in his past eight starts. The owner of a 3.75 ERA in 57 2/3 innings since the All-Star break, he'll get the Brewers in Milwaukee his next time out.
