Petricka (elbow) will throw over the All-Star break and is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Petricka is the closet of Chicago's injured pitchers to returning, though he's not thought to be a candidate for high-leverage work.

Petricka (elbow) played light catch at a short distance Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a good sign that Petricka is throwing so soon after hitting the disabled list last week with a strained right elbow. Even so, he'll still have to increase his throwing distance before being cleared to pitch off a mound, making it highly unlikely that he'll be activated prior to the All-Star break.

Petricka (elbow) returns to the disabled list prior to the Thursday's game against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Petricka will hit the 10-day DL with a right elbow strain after giving up five runs in the sixth inning of Wednesday's contest. The right-hander recently returned from a DL stint due to a back injury, which doesn't bode well moving forward. Chicago will likely give him more time to recover this time around, while Juan Minaya is set to take his place on the roster in a corresponding move.

Petricka (back) has been reinstated from the 10-day DL on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After completing three rehab games to a tune of two earned funs and five hits in four innings, Petricka will rejoin the White Sox as the team begins a series in Cleveland. The right-hander suffered a strain in his right lat muscle that has kept him sidelined for two months, with his only appearance of the season coming on April 4 against Detroit. Petricka will likely serve as a middle reliever for the time being after posting a 4.50 ERA during eight innings in 2016.

Petricka (back) fired a scoreless inning of relief for Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, his first rehab appearance since going on the DL, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
It marks a major step in the recovery process for Petricka, who is working his way back from a strained right lat muscle. He may need a couple more appearances with Charlotte as he builds up strength and refines his mechanics, but a return to the big leagues appears imminent. White Sox relievers have done well during his absence, posting a terrific 2.84 ERA, but Petricka should slot in as a middle-reliever after being sidelined for nearly two months.

Petricka (back) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Wednesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Petricka is slowly making his way back from a muscle strain that has kept him sidelined since early-April, and he finally appears to be close to a return to the big club. It's unclear how long he'll be out on the assignment, but that should become more apparent following his first outing.

Petricka (back) threw a simulated game Monday in Arizona, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Petricka's rehab from a muscle strain has taken longer than the team expected. His 20-pitch session Monday was just the second time throwing off a mound since he was diagnosed with the injury. Both have come since the muscle calmed down about two weeks ago. He'll remain in Arizona with the next step having him get on a regular throwing schedule. After that, it will be a rehabilitation assignment.

Petricka is having his back examined in the coming days, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After the results of Petricka's evaluation become available, it should be easier to have an understanding as to when his eventual return may be. Once he's back in full health, Petricka will provide the White Sox with an additional relief arm.

Petricka (back) will be reevaluated early next week, Paul Skrbina of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
At the time of Petricka's injury, manager Rick Renteria suggested the reliever would be out for a bit, and he apparently wasn't kidding. On Sunday, Renteria said it would be another 10 days before Petricka gets his next checkup.

Petricka suffered a strained right latissimus muscle during his appearance in the White Sox's home opener Tuesday and has been placed on the 10-day disabled list, Scott Merkin of the White Sox's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old right-hander is "going to be out for a bit," according to ChiSox manager Rick Renteria. Petricka, who played just nine games in 2016 after undergoing surgery to repair a labrum tear in his right hip, hurled one scoreless inning Tuesday. To replace Petricka in the bullpen, the White Sox called up Tommy Kahnle from Triple-A Charlotte.
