Lamb is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb isn't a part of a platoon, but he'll head to the bench for Tuesday's game with one of the toughest lefties in the game (Madison Bumgarner) toeing the rubber for the opposition. Deven Marrero will start at third base and hit seventh in his stead.

Lamb went 1-for-3 with a walk, run and RBI in Monday's 10-3 loss to the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb's run-scoring hit came in the eighth inning, when the Giants were well on their way to a blowout victory. Even so, it still gave Lamb his fifth RBI in seven games, with the third baseman slowly emerging as a steadying force in the heart of the Arizona lineup after an extended absence due to a shoulder injury.

Lamb is out of Saturday's lineup against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
He is hitting .211/.333/.447 with two home runs and a 12:8 K:BB in 38 at-bats over his last 12 games. With lefty Caleb Smith toeing the rubber for Miami, the Diamondbacks will go with a right-heavy lineup, starting Deven Marrero at the hot corner.

Lamb went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb took starter Elieser Hernandez deep in the third for his second home run on the year. The 27-year-old is hitting .232/.338/.411 with 11 RBI in 16 games this season. Lamb has spent considerable time on the disabled list this year with a left AC joint sprain, but if he's healthy he should be a reliable source of power and RBIs at the third base position.

Lamb went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of walks Friday in the Diamondbacks' 7-1 win over the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb had previously been deployed as the Diamondbacks' No. 3 hitter in each of his four starts since coming off the 10-day disabled list last week, but he dropped all the way to sixth with lefty Sean Manaea on the bump for Oakland. The lefty-on-lefty matchup didn't hinder Lamb's effectiveness Friday, but the third baseman's poor career track record against southpaws could result in him frequently hitting the bench in those scenarios. Over 368 career plate appearances versus lefties, Lamb has slashed .161/.272/.304 (51 wRC+) while striking out 32.3 percent of the time.

Lamb is out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb will take a seat after starting the last three games. Although the sample size is small, he's been decent at the plate in only eight game this season, batting .258 and launching his first homer of the season Monday night. Deven Marrero will get the start at third and is slated to bat eighth in his place.

Lamb went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a pair of walks Monday in the Diamondbacks' 4-2 loss to the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb's long ball was his first of the season and broke a stretch of five no-hit frames from Brewers starter Chase Anderson, who had quieted the Arizona offense after a rough first inning. Now that he's back in the fold after missing the past month and a half with a sprained shoulder, Lamb should routinely occupy a spot in the heart of the lineup and provide a needed power boost to the team. However, Lamb's overall numbers will likely take a hit compared to a season ago with the newly installed humidor at Chase Field in addition to the extended absence of A.J. Pollock (thumb) expected to stifle the Diamondbacks' run production.

Lamb is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb managed a double and an RBI in his return to action Friday but struggled with three strikeouts against Jacob deGrom and Jeurys Familia. The move is likely matchup related, as the Mets send left-hander Steven Matz to the mound on Saturday.

Lamb (shoulder, elbow) returned from the 10-day disabled list Friday and went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and three strikeouts in the Diamondbacks' 3-1 loss to the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
After missing the Diamondbacks' previous 39 games, Lamb immediately reclaimed a prominent spot in the lineup, settling in as the No. 3 hitter between Steven Souza and Paul Goldschmidt. Lamb provided one of the Diamondbacks' two extra-base hits, but like many of his teammates, he mostly struggled to make contact against the duo of starter Jacob deGrom and closer Jeurys Familia, who combined for 16 strikeouts on the evening. Lamb could hit the bench Saturday with the Diamondbacks scheduled to face a lefty starter (Steven Matz), but the third baseman should retain a regular spot in the heart of the order against right-handed pitching now that he's made a full recovery from a sprained left shoulder and tight right elbow.

The Diamondbacks reinstated Lamb (shoulder) from the 10-day disabled list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Lamb hit the disabled list April 3 with an AC joint sprain but also had his return delayed after experiencing right elbow tendinitis. The 27-year-old had three rehab appearances at High-A Visalia over the past week, and will start at third base and bat third in his return to the lineup against the Mets on Friday.
