EDGE Analysis
Bader started five of the first six games on the road trip but finds himself on the bench for the second straight contest Saturday. The 25-year-old is 5-for-48 with zero extra-base hits over his last 17 games. Tyler O'Neill, Dexter Fowler and Jose Martinez will man the outfield for the Cardinals on Saturday.

Bader, who went 2-for-4 in a win over the Mariners for his first multi-hit effort since June 13, was mired in a 4-for-43 slump in the 15 games prior to Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The young outfielder's .093 average over that span (48 plate appearances) caused his season figure to take a 39-point tumble down to .206. It remains to be seen if Bader's modest but productive output Wednesday serves as a true slump-busting effort, but it doesn't hurt his quest to fortify his increasingly tenuous hold on an everyday role.

Bader is not in Saturday's lineup against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
He had started back-to-back games against right-handed pitchers, but will head to the bench in this one with righty Felix Pena expected to serve as the primary pitcher for the Halos. Jose Martinez gets the nod in right field while Dexter Fowler slides over to center field.

Bader went 3-for-4 with an RBI double, another two-bagger and a run against the Mets in a tie game that was suspended due to rain in the ninth inning Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Just before the game was called, Bader laced a double to left field with two outs that plated Kolten Wong with the game-tying run. Bader was actually thrown out at third base to officially end the top half of the frame, putting a bizarre temporary finish to a contest that will resume play Friday evening before the the two teams' regularly scheduled contest. Bader's multi-hit effort was his first since May 24 and pushed his monthly average to .265 across 11 games.

Bader went 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two walks Tuesday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Bader kickstarted the Cardinals' offense in the second inning, hitting an RBI triple to push across the team's first run of the game. He followed that up with a bases-loaded walk in the sixth inning to bring his RBI total to 18 on the season. Bader has seen an increase in playing time of late, but hardly taken advantage by going just 6-for-30 over his last 10 games. More positively, four of those hits gave gone for extra bases, bringing his season-long line to .234/.354/.438 across 165 plate appearances.

Sun 6/9/19 6:16 AM

Bader went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
He took Jon Lester deep in the first inning as part of a four-run inning, but the Cards' offense fell asleep after that. Bader has cooled off significantly since the hot streak that propelled him back into a starting role, hitting .161 (5-for-31) over his last 10 games to drag his slash line on the year back down to .240/.351/.442 with six homers and 15 RBI through 49 contests. Even worse for his fantasy value, he's a miserable 1-for-4 on steal attempts after swiping 15 bags in 18 attempts in 2018.
