Castro is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty-hitting Castro will take a seat against Royals southpaw Daniel Lynch after going 9-for-14 with a home run, a double and six RBI while starting each of the past three games at three different positions. He appears to have recaptured a near-everyday role against right-handed pitching.

Castro went 3-for-5 with three RBI in a 4-3 extra-inning victory Tuesday over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Castro was the hero Tuesday as he tied the game with a two-run single in the eighth and walked it off with an RBI single in the 10th. It was his third straight three-hit performance and he's 9-for-14 with a homer and six RBI in those contests. The 27-year-old has set career-highs in nearly every offensive category this season while appearing at six different positions in the field.

Castro went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in a 7-2 win over the White Sox on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Castro got Detroit off to a strong start, swatting a two-run homer to right field in the first inning. He added a run-scoring single in the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie and put the Tigers up for good. This was a much-needed positive performance for the utility man, as he entered Saturday having gone 1-for-24 over his previous seven contests.

Castro isn't starting Monday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The utility player has slashed .212/.257/.303 with five RBI in nine games to begin the month. With September call-up Spencer Torkelson having seemingly recaptured an everyday role at first base, Castro looks primed to serve as a utility player moving forward.

Castro isn't in the lineup Friday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Castro is getting a breather after he went 0-for-8 with two walks over the last two games. Spencer Torkelson will start at first base and bat fifth.

Castro went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Castro's home run in the fourth inning, his sixth of the season, provided all of the Detroit offense, and he and Javier Baez were the only Tigers with multiple hits. The six home runs are a new career best for Castro, who's been more of a steady contact hitter at the MLB level. He has some fantasy value while he's locked into a regular role, though he doesn't typically provide much in terms of counting stats.

Castro is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Castro started Detroit's last 10 games and will head to the bench after he posted a .603 OPS during that stretch. Spencer Torkelson will start at first base and bat seventh Friday.

Castro went 2-for-5 with a double and five RBI in Sunday's 9-8 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Castro drove in two runs on a fourth inning single, then cleared the bases on a double in the sixth. The 28-year-old has been playing well and is seeing regular time at first base with Spencer Torkelson in Triple-A. Torkelson still figures prominently into the team's future plans, so it remains to be seen what Castro's role will be beyond this year. He should still be a decent fantasy asset for the remainder of 2022, however.

Castro went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Saturday's 11-2 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
All three hits were singles, which is par for the course for Castro. The infielder is batting a solid .284, though he's chipped in just five home runs and 18 doubles across 93 games. Castro also doesn't have any stolen bases this season, so his fantasy value is a bit capped as a contact hitter with limited power and speed. However, he should remain useful as long as he's playing most days and can stay hot at the plate.

Castro (thumb) will bat fifth and play first base Saturday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Castro hadn't played since leaving Wednesday's game against the Guardians with left thumb soreness. He's ready to play again following a two-day break and will look to build on his solid .298/.322/.421 slash line over his last 15 games.
