Blanco (back) is in the starting lineup Thursday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blanco had been sidelined with the back ailment since Monday, but it appears that the injury has subsided. He'll continue to get reps in the Giants outfield while Denard Span (shoulder) is recovery from a shoulder injury.

Blanco sat out of Monday's game with a sore back, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although back issues are never a good thing to see, the outfielder was adamant that sitting out was merely a precaution and that he could definitely play if it were the regular season. He may take a day or two off, but this shouldn't affect his readiness for Opening Day as long as his recovery goes as planned.

With the signing of Denard Span, Blanco will be pushed out of a starting role and serve as the Giants' fourth outfielder.
EDGE Analysis
Blanco took advantage of injuries to San Francisco's outfield last season and went on to post a career-best slash line (.291/.368/.413) in 372 plate appearances. With the addition of Span and the healthy return of Angel Pagan, Blanco will be relegated to a bench role to start the season. Both Span and Pagan haven't been the model of good health, so Blanco could find himself back in an everyday role at some point this season, but for now, he isn't a player to target in drafts.

Manager Bruce Bochy indicated that Blanco (concussion) is likely done for the year, CSN Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
The recent concussion was Blanco's second this season, and with their playoff hopes dwindling, the Giants have no reason to rush him back this year. Despite starting the year as a reserve, Blanco put together his best statistical season, slashing .291/.368/.413 with a career-high .122 ISO.

Blanco was diagnosed with a concussion Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly when Blanco suffered the injury, as he remained in for the entirety of Wednesday's contest. He'll now go through the league's concussion protocol, and could be in jeopardy of missing the remainder of the season.

Blanco went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in a 7-3 win over the Rockies on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
After an injury-laden week in which he started just one of four games, Blanco made an emphatic return to the lineup Saturday. The Giants have mixed and matched well with Blanco, who has hit lefties and righties at a nearly identical clip. Blanco has provided good multi-category numbers this season, but is unlikely to start regularly given the Giants' crowded outfield.

Blanco (neck) is in the lineup Wednesday, batting second as the Giants' left fielder.
EDGE Analysis
Blanco has dealt with a slew of ailments over the last week, including a neck issue that sidelined him for Tuesday's contest. The issue proved to be minor, however, as he's already back in the lineup Wednesday, but he'll have the tough task of facing Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said that Blanco, who is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Dodgers, is dealing with a neck issue, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blanco, who is hitting a solid .294 with a .375 on-base percentage this season, had started the previous four games in center field before sitting Tuesday. All indications from Bochy are that Blanco's injury is minor, but with the Giants returning Angel Pagan from the DL on Tuesday and acquiring Alejandro De Aza, at-bats may grow more scarce in September for Blanco.

Blanco went 2-for-6 with his 13th stolen base of the season in Monday's 14-inning loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Blanco returned from a hip injury last Friday and has now collected three multi-hit games over that span. He should continue to see starts down the stretch, however, with the return of Angel Pagan (knee) and the addition of Alejandro De Aza, San Francisco's outfield has become crowded and playing time could be erratic for all involved.

Blanco (hip) is in the lineup Friday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Blanco had missed two consecutive games coming into Friday due to a left hip strain, but the veteran outfielder will be back in the lineup Friday against Michael Wacha and the Cardinals. Blanco's return to the lineup is a welcome sight for Giants fans as the team has been battling a number of injuries lately, especially in the outfield.
