Stanton is not in the Marlins' lineup Friday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Looks to be a simple day off for the slugger, allowing for Ichiro Suzuki to get the start in right field. Stanton is off to a solid start on the season, slashing .270/.349/.459 with two home runs through nine games.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with a walk and a pair of two-run home runs in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
The long balls were his first of the season, but it was only a matter of time before Stanton began putting souvenirs in the seats. The right fielder is now slashing .290/.371/.517 through eight games, and given his track record Wednesday's outburst could be the beginning of a homer barrage.

Stanton went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against Mets starter Noah Syndergaard in Sunday's 5-2 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton is now 0-for-11 in his career against Thor. While hitting .280, Stanton is still searching for his first home run of the season. Injuries and high strikeout rates have held Stanton from reaching his true potential, but he remains one of the premier young power hitters in the game. Expect him to clear the fences sooner than later.

Stanton crushed a mammoth, game-winning two-run home run in the fourth inning of Team USA's 6-3 victory Saturday over the Dominican Republic.
EDGE Analysis
The homer not only put the USA through to the semi-finals of the WBC, it left Stanton's bat at an unfathomable 117.3 mph, the fourth-hardest hit home run since Statcast began tracking exit velocity in 2015. He's struggled to stay healthy throughout his big league career, playing more than 140 games only twice in six seasons as a full-time Marlin, but when he's in top form the 27-year-old possesses more raw power than anybody else in MLB.

Stanton went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, his first of the spring, in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Giving new meaning to the term "walk-off homer", Stanton crushed a line drive down the left field line in his final at-bat of the day before leaving camp to join Team USA for the WBC. As is always the case with the 27-year-old slugger, Stanton's fantasy fantasy this season will depend on his ability to stay off the DL, not his prodigious power.

Stanton will play for Team USA at the WBC, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll join the Orioles' Adam Jones and the Pirates' Andrew McCutchen in the starting outfield for Team USA, while his Marlins teammates Christian Yelich and A.J. Ellis will also be on the bench for the squad. Stanton is coming off the worst season of his career, as various injuries limited him to 119 games with a career-low .240 batting average and .815 OPS, and his inability to stay off the DL has so far prevented the 27-year-old from becoming the fantasy superstar his elite power would suggest he could be.

Stanton is out of the lineup for the team's season finale against the Nationals on Sunday, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton will sit out each of the Marlins' final three games after returning earlier than expected from a groin issue. There's no indication the injury has resurfaced but Destin Hood will man right field in his place.

Stanton is not in Saturday's lineup against the Nationals, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Marlins will rest several regulars Saturday as they play out the string against the Nationals. Jeff Francoeur will start in right field and hit fifth Saturday. Stanton has now sat out two games in a row, and it would not come as a big surprise if he was also absent from Sunday's lineup as he is fairly banged up at this point in the season.

Stanton is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton has just five hits in 10 games since rejoining the lineup Sept. 16, so manager Don Mattingly decided to hold him out Friday. Marcell Ozuna will cover right field in Stanton's place, and Derek Dietrich will replace Ozuna in left field.
