Stanton went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and three strikeouts in Thursday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton went 16 straight games without a homer, but he has gone yard three times over his last contests -- tallying eight RBI in the process. The slugger, who's not expected to play in the outfield during the weekend two-game series against the Phillies, already has 12 homers on the season and owns an .849 OPS through 187 plate appearances in 2021.

Stanton is not expected to play in the outfield during the team's weekend series against Philadelphia, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees will travel to Philadelphia for a two-game set this weekend, so the club will be without the designated hitter. Though manager Aaron Boone noted that Stanton isn't likely to play in the outfield in this series, he didn't rule out the possibility when the Yankees face the Mets at Citi Field and travel to Miami and Atlanta later in the season.

Stanton went 3-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBI in Wednesday's 9-6 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton erupted for three extra-base hits, all off Randy Dobnak. Before his pair of homers Wednesday, Stanton went without a long ball in his previous 16 games. It was a much needed performance for the 31-year-old, as he was just 4-for-29 in his prior nine contests. He is slashing .267/.335/.509 with 11 home runs, 29 RBI and 18 runs in 182 plate appearances.

EDGE Analysis
Stanton went 1-for-7 while starting the first two games of the series and will now retreat to the bench for the third time in six games. Stanton has not recorded a multi-hit performance since May 5, and per Lindsey Adler of The Athletic, manager Aaron Boone said that Stanton is still building up strength since returning from a quad injury May 29.

Stanton is not in the lineup Thursday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Stanton has been handled cautiously since returning from a quadriceps injury in late May, starting just four times in seven games. Aaron Judge will rest his legs as the designated hitter in his absence, with Clint Frazier starting in right field.

Stanton will sit Saturday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees won't ask Stanton to play twice in a row immediately after returning from a quadriceps strain. He wasn't exactly convincing in his first game back in action, going 0-for-5 with four strikeouts. Aaron Judge will rest his legs as the designated hitter in his absence.

Stanton went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in Friday's loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
It was an unceremonious return for the slugger, who missed over two weeks due to a strained left quadriceps. Stanton struck out in his first at-bat and followed with three more whiffs over the course of the contest, the most significant of which was a strikeout with the go-ahead run at third base and one out in the ninth inning. There is likely still some rust to shake off following the long absence, but it's worth noting that Stanton had been struggling prior to the injury, collecting only three hits in his last 22 at-bats.

Stanton (quadriceps) was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old has been sidelined by a strained left quadriceps since May 13, and he'll rejoin the active roster ahead of Friday's series opener at Detroit. Stanton has a .282/.347/.534 slash line with nine homers and 24 RBI this season, though he was 3-for-22 across his last six games before landing on the injured list.

Stanton (quadriceps) is expected to be activated from the injured list Friday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury has sidelined Stanton since May 13, at which point he was in a 3-for-22 slump with no home runs in that six-game span. Even so, the slugger will slot in near the top of New York's lineup and figures to re-establish himself as a premier power-hitting threat.
