Richards allowed five runs on nine hits, walking two and striking out just one over six-plus innings of a 12-5 win over Boston on Friday night. Richards (4-2, 2.98 ERA) is still shaking off the rust after missing the last couple of months last year, and the beginning of the season this year. His velocity is back, and he can be dominating for stretches, but his command still comes and goes (he needed 104 pitches, 66 for strikes to record 18 outs in this one). Expect his peripherals to improve as he gets more comfortable on the mound.

Richards allowed two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts over 7.2 innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday. Richards threw the ball well in this one, but the Angels couldn't solve hard-throwing Mike Wright, who tossed 7.1 scoreless innings in his major league debut. Though he took the loss Sunday, Richards appears to be in top form after undergoing knee surgery in August, as he has kept a 2.24 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 39.1 innings over his first six starts. He will look to get back in the win column when he faces the Red Sox on Friday.

Richards was stellar against the Astros on Sunday, striking out ten and allowing just one run on one hit across 6.2 innings to earn his third win of the season. After a shaky first start of the season, Richards has been on a tear over the last two weeks, winning three of his four starts and striking out nearly a batter per inning. Walks have been a bit of a problem just far, he allowed four more on Sunday, but Richards is looking more and more like the dominant pitcher we saw last season. Two off-days next week will afford him seven days of rest before he takes on the Orioles in his next scheduled start.

Richards allowed just one run on five hits while striking out five and walking two in a win against the Mariners on Tuesday. Richards was in danger of having his outing spoiled in the sixth inning, but struck out Dustin Ackley with the bases loaded in the before pitching a perfect seventh. While it hasn't always been easy, Richards has been solid since making his season debut in mid-April, tallying a 2.52 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 25 innings. Owners are likely a bit concerned about the 12 walks allowed over that span, but Richards is once again sporting a minuscule BABIP this season (.232) which could be at least partially a product of his stuff and deceptive delivery.

Richards (2-1) gave up just one run on four hits and three walks while striking out five Thursday in a win over the A's. While this was Richards' finest outing since coming off the DL, he's still left his fantasy owners wanting a little; that 14:10 K:BB over 18 innings doesn't look pretty, and he'll need to start limiting his bases on balls while adding some strikeouts to regain last season's sparkling form. He's got a good matchup coming up next, though, as he'll draw Seattle on Tuesday.

Richards allowed two runs on three hits while walking three and striking out five in seven innings en route to a win over the Rangers on Friday. Richards was a candidate for a loss in the outing, as he departed trailing 2-1, but David Freese hit what turned out to be a game-winning two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh, allowing the 26-year-old to notch his first victory of the season. Richards has yet to display the strikeout prowess he featured before his season-ending knee injury in 2014, as he has tallied a K/9 rate of just 6.8 in his first two starts, but his velocity is as sharp as ever, as the stadium gun had him between 95 and 97 MPH in the outing Friday. Owners may have to be patient while waiting for Richards' dominant form to return, but there will likely be little to complain about if he can continue to post solid outings. He will face the A's on Thursday.

Richards allowed four runs (three earned) while walking four and striking out four over five innings in a loss to the Astros on Sunday. Richards showed some good signs in the outing, as his fastball velocity reached into the mid-nighties, but it was clear he was still shaking off the rust, as he loaded the bases in the first inning before pitching out of trouble. The good news for owners is that Richards threw 100 pitches in the outing, and there has been no word of any soreness, so he will likely be without a leash going forward. He will look to continue the comeback Friday against the Rangers.

Richards (knee) was activated from the 15-day disabled list Saturday night, MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reports. Richards had already been confirmed as Sunday's starter against Houston, so the official roster move was merely procedural, with Adam Wilk being sent down to Triple-A Salt Lake in a corresponding move. Richards will be making his 2015 debut, squaring off against Scott Feldman.

Richards (knee) will start Sunday against the Astros, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports. This was expected, with the right-hander working up to 91 pitches in his rehab start with Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday, but the team has officially cleared Richards to return for the finale against Houston. Before going down with the injury last season, Richards went 13-4 with a 2.61 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 164:51 K:BB. He's someone most owners will want active from the get-go.

Richards (knee) will meet the Angels in Houston this weekend, at which point the team will determine whether he will start Sunday's game, the Los Angeles Times' Mike DiGiovanna reports. Richards should be considered probable for Sunday's game, which could be an ideal matchup against the free-swinging Astros. Check back on his status this weekend to confirm that he will indeed take the ball Sunday.
