Everth Cabrera went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and an RBI in Thursday's defeat at the hands of Washington.
Cabrera's 13 steals rank second in the National League. A better real-life than fantasy player, Cabrera's value comes in the form of his legs (steals and runs) and eyes (walks). He looks poised to have a career year.

Everth Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a homer, a double, a walk and a steal as the Padres topped the Dodgers 7-2 on Wednesday.
Cabrera's been a little off his game in the stolen base department, getting caught three times in seven attempts after going 44-for-48 last year. Offensively, though, he's done great work. To go along with his .298 average, he's already matched his 2012 total of two homers. He's also scored 11 runs in 15 games.

Everth Cabrera is only 2-for-5 in stolen base attempts this season.
But he homered and tripled on Saturday and owns a .283/.365/.391 batting line through 12 games. Cabrera should have more success on the base paths as the year rolls on. He's a decently productive fantasy shortstop.

"We're satisfied from what we heard," Black said after meeting with Cabrera on Wednesday. "This will resolve itself in a positive way." Mike Fish and T.J. Quinn of ESPN.com report that Everth Cabrera, Jordan Norberto, Fernando Martinez, Fautino De Los Santos and Cesar Puello are listed in documents from Anthony Bosch's Biogenesis clinic.
The report says that all five players "were on a list as having received performance-enhancing drugs, although the documents are not proof that the players either received or used PEDs." That brings the total to 25 players that have been linked to the clinic, with 10 of them having ties to ACES, the sports agency owned by brothers Seth and Sam Levinson.

Everth Cabrera swiped four bases Sunday, bringing his season total to 41 steals.
Cabrera walked twice but never had a hit in the game. He's the 11th player since at least 1918 to steal four bases without getting a hit. Vince Coleman did it three times, and Rickey Henderson did it twice. The last player to do it was the White Sox's Lou Frazier in 1998.

Everth Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a walk, run scored and two stolen bases in Wednesday's win over the Dodgers.
Both hits were singles. Cabrera is now only two swipes away from his first 30-theft campaign. Hitting just .235/.317/.320, however, he's far from locked into a starting job heading into 2013.

Everth Cabrera went 2-for-4 and swiped his 25th base of the season as the Padres were shutout by Kris Medlen and the Braves on Tuesday.
Cabrera seems to have settled in as the Padres leadoff hitter, and could act as a terrific source of speed from the middle infield position over the final month-plus of the regular season. He's hitting .241 with a pair of homers and 21 RBI to go along with the aforementioned 25 swipes.
