White went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's spring training game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
White walloped his second Cactus League homer in the first inning, one of three long balls hit by the team in support of starter Dane Dunning. The outfielder has launched home runs in each of his last two spring games and continued to showcase a new swing path. Friday's long ball went opposite field while his first one went out to center field. So far, so good with the new swing.

White (elbow) is scheduled to play the outfield in Friday's Cactus League game, Levi Weaver of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
White has been seeing action as the designated hitter and is now set to see his first time in the outfield this spring. The 27-year-old is returning from elbow surgery in September and wasn't expected to be ready for Opening Day at the start of camp, but his ability to play the outfield could signal he'll receive full clearance sooner rather than later.

White (elbow) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's spring training game against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
White served as the designated hitter for the second time this spring, as the elbow injury prevents him from lining up in the field at this time. He drove a curveball from Madison Bumgarner over the fence in center field, showing off the new swing that's been the early talk in camp, per Levi Weaver of The Athletic. Texas hitting coach Donnie Eckler has been impressed, though he said it's too early to tell if White's offseason swing-path adjustments have "stuck."

White (elbow) went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored Friday's spring game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
White served as the designated hitter and will likely continue to do so, as he strengthens the elbow for throwing. The game action was a chance for the righty hitter to unveil his new swing, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. "I'm trying to stay through the ball more and not so much rotational like around the ball," White said. The goal is reduce the frequency of batted balls that are pulled and direct more hits to center and right field. A one-time prospect, the 27-year-old White hasn't done much against big-league pitching since making his debut in 2020, owing a career .179/.254/.293 slash line. He is not expected to be ready for Opening Day.

White (elbow) will serve as the designated hitter for Friday's spring game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
White underwent elbow surgery in September and isn't expected to be ready for Opening Day. He's been able to hit in batting practice, however, and he's apparently also able to hit in games, but it will still be some time before he's ready to take the field.

White is not expected to be ready for Opening Day due to the elbow surgery that ended his 2021 season early, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
White underwent surgery in September, and his rehab progressed well during the lockout. He recently started throwing to bases March 14 and appears to be back sooner than expected. Landry's report targets a late April return for the outfielder, but the takeaway should be that he could be rostered in the majors when he returns. White should be in the mix to start in left field once back to full health

White (elbow) hit three home runs during his batting practice session Monday at the Rangers' spring camp, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
White never displayed much power over parts of two seasons in the majors and none of his stops in the minors, so the home-run display in batting practice can probably be taken with a grain of salt. More importantly, however, White looks to be healthy again after his 2021 season came to an end in early August, when he suffered a right elbow strain that later required an internal brace surgery. The 27-year-old will likely be competing for a utility role on the Rangers' Opening Day roster.

White (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
White underwent season-ending elbow surgery earlier this month, so his move to the 60-day IL comes as no surprise. The outfielder had some nice moments in 64 games with the Rangers but ultimately finished his season with an underwhelming .177/.259/.308 slash line to go along with six homers, six doubles, one triple and four stolen bases. Nonetheless, he should have a strong chance to compete for a spot in the Texas outfield when he returns next spring.

White recently underwent UCL internal brace surgery on his right elbow and is facing a six-month recovery timeline, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
White has been on the injured list since Aug. 5 due to a right elbow strain, and he'll miss the remainder of the season following his procedure. However, the Rangers are hopeful that the 27-year-old will be cleared to return late in spring training in 2022. White appeared in 64 games during the 2021 campaign and slashed .177/.259/.308 with six homers, 26 runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases.

White (elbow) began a throwing program Saturday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
White has been out with a strained right elbow since early August. He's now taking steps towards a return to action, but it remains unclear when the Rangers expect him to return to the team.
