White will sit Saturday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
White has emerged as the Rangers' primary left fielder, and his hold on the role seems to have tightened after Nick Solak was optioned Thursday. White will have to improve at the plate to have a truly secure spot, however, as he's hitting just .207/.313/.293 on the year. Brad Miller will be the left fielder Saturday.

White went 1-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-5 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
White had the signature hit of the Rangers' seven-run eighth inning. After striking out the first four times up, White came up with the bases loaded and singled to left field, and the ball misplayed by Brandon Marsh. That allowed all three baserunners to score, and the speedy White to race around the bases for a "little league" home run. White has started nine of the last 10 games and most notably stole five bases during that run. He's hitting a career-best .250 over 48 at-bats, but that is tempered by a .393 BABIP and a .190 XBA.

White went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run scored and a stolen base in Monday's 7-4 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
All of White's production came during the Rangers' six-run first inning. He singled, stole second and scored a run before knocking a two-run single in his second at-bat of the inning. He improved his slash line to .256/.373/.372 with eight steals, including five over his last six appearances.

White will serve as the Rangers' leadoff man and starting left fielder in Monday's game against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
White has now handled leadoff duties for three straight games, with the last two of those assignments coming against right-handed pitching. The 27-year-old has mostly handled a short-side platoon role for Texas this season, but he appears to have at least temporarily captured regular at-bats against right-handed pitching at the expense of Nick Solak, who is on the bench for the second straight contest. With a 7-for-7 success rate on stolen-base attempts this season, White looks like he'll be a plus source for steals while he's receiving steady playing time.

White batted leadoff and went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases in Saturday's 11-3 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Leading off for the first time this season, White reached base on a first-inning error by Trevor Story and made Boston's second baseman pay for that transgression. White stole second and third base and came home on Corey Seager's single. It was the fourth steal in the last four games for White, who leads the team with seven swipes over 42 plate appearances. Prior to Saturday's start, White never batted higher than sixth and spent most of his time in the nine hole.

White started in left field and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-1 win over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
White started for just the 12th time in 30 games but leads the Rangers with five steals over 38 plate appearances. There could more chances coming. Thursday's start was the fifth in the last six games for White, who is often been pinch hit for later in games but has played a full nine innings in the last four contests. The 27-year-old righty-hitter, who has a history of double-digit steals in the minors, typically plays center field against left-handers or spots in at left field when Brad Miller starts at third base.

White went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a 6-4 win Tuesday over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
White walked and stole second base as part of a double-steal in the sixth inning. He is 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts on the season. After hitting .179/.254/.293 in his first two big-league seasons, the 28-year-old is off to a very good start with a .269/.387/.462 batting line in a part-time role. Despite his success at the plate, he's hit ninth in the order in all of his starts.

White entered as a pinch runner, stole a base and scored the game-winning run in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
White ran for Mitch Garver in the 10th, and the steal put him in position to score Texas' second run on a Brad Miller single. He opened the season as the fifth outfielder and now is one of six on the team. That means his playing time is limited to spot starts, defensive replacements, and pinch running or hitting. When White does start, he's often replaced midgame by a left-handed hitter. Through 16 games, White has just 22 plate appearances but does have three steals, tied for second on the team.

White started in center field and went 1-for-1 with a walk, a double, a stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-2 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Texas manager Chris Woodward loaded up the lineup with righty batters against Seattle's left-handed ace Robbie Ray. As such, White manned center field for the third time this season, while Adolis Garcia shifted to right field in place of Kole Calhoun. The stolen base was his second, but it remains to be seen if he can be a healthy contributor in that category as a platoon outfielder against lefties. He showed some speed in the minors -- 59 stolen bases in 444 career games -- but White's opportunities will be minimized in his current role.

White will be on the Rangers' Opening Day roster, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Expectations when White reported to camp were that he wouldn't be ready for Opening Day as he worked his way back from September elbow surgery. He wound up recovering ahead of schedule and earned a spot after posting an .886 OPS in nine spring games. While he's managed to secure a roster spot, he won't necessarily see much playing time, as he's a career .179/.254/.293 hitter in 83 major-league games.
