Castillo was acquired by the Mariners from the Rays on Thursday in exchange for right-hander JT Chargois and infielder Austin Shenton, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's surprising to see Tampa Bay depart with an elite reliever -- Castillo has 14 saves, a 2.72 ERA and 33.8 percent strikeout rate -- in the midst of a playoff race, but he'll nonetheless make his way to Seattle. The right-hander should take over the closer's role with his new team following the departure of Kendall Graveman, whom the Mariners traded to the Astros earlier in the week.

Castillo pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts to earn the save in Thursday's 5-4 extra-inning win over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo was able to make Tampa Bay's comeback effort stick with his perfect 10th inning. The right-hander has now strung together eight scoreless innings in his last nine outings, giving up just a hit and a walks while striking out 11 in that span. He's pitched to a strong 2.80 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 49:10 K:BB across 35.1 innings. Castillo remains the favorite for saves, but he's only been utilized in a save chance three times in his last nine outings.

Castillo, who secured his 13th save in a win over the Blue Jays on Saturday, now has six consecutive scoreless appearances spanning five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran right-hander thus heads into the All-Star break with some momentum, and his current stretch of success has lowered his ERA and WHIP back down to 3.06 and 1.08, respectively. Castillo has had a couple of hiccups in the form of a pair of blown saves, but he's otherwise been a relatively steady late-inning force for manager Kevin Cash and boasts a career-high 12.0 K/9 and 32.8 percent strikeout rate.

Castillo struck out three batters in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over the Angels on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo came in and made quick work of the Angels, fanning the side and finishing off the 4-3 win. He's now converted his last eight save chances, making him 12-for-14 on the year. The 27-year-old righty owns a 3.38 ERA with a 42:9 K:BB through 29.1 innings this season.

Castillo (2-4) suffered the loss Sunday against the Mariners after allowing four runs (three earned) on two hits and a walk in just two-thirds of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo entered in the 10th trying to preserve a 2-2 tie. He was facing bases-loaded, two-outs, and lost the battle to Shed Long who ended the game on a walk-off grand slam. Despite the disappointing outing, Castillo stills owns a 3.62 ERA and 38:9 K:BB to go along with a team-high 11 saves over 27.1 innings. Manager Kevin Cash has given Pete Fairbanks some save chances over the last 10 days. Fairbanks had a bit of a rough week, so Castillo should still be viewed as one of the top candidates for saves on a Rays team that has dropped six in a row.

Castillo secured his third hold in a win over the White Sox on Monday, firing a scoreless eighth inning during which he allowed one hit and recorded two strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The part-time closer saw setup work two days after securing his 11th save of the season. Castillo now has scoreless appearances in seven of his last eight trips to the mound and continues to offer fantasy managers plenty of value due to his late-inning, typically high-leverage role.

Castillo earned the save against Baltimore on Saturday, allowing one hit in one inning. He did not walk or strike out any batters.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo inherited a one-run lead in the ninth inning. He gave up two-out single but retired the following batter by groundout to close out the contest. The right-hander has collected 11 saves on the season while posting a 2.92 ERA across 24.2 innings

Castillo (2-3) was charged with the loss in Wednesday's extra-innings defeat at the hands of the Nationals, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits over one inning while recording two strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo saw a five-appearance scoreless streak snapped with Wednesday's stumble, which bumped his ERA from 2.78 to 3.04. Despite the hiccup, Castillo has proven largely reliable in high-leverage work thus far, converting 10 of 12 save chances and garnering a pair of holds over 23 appearances.

Castillo did not allow a baserunner and struck out one in the ninth inning to earn the save Tuesday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo was called upon to hold a two-run lead and had no trouble doing so to earn his 10th save of the season. While the role once appeared to belong to J.P. Feyereisen, Castillo has now served as the closer for each of the team's past two opportunities. On Tuesday, Feyereisen worked in the seventh inning and managed to record only one out before being pulled after issuing three free passes. Castillo appears to be the favorite to earn save chances for the time being, though the Rays' bullpen remains very difficult to predict.

Castillo struck out the side in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his ninth save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
It's his first save since May 22, and Castillo set a new career high in the process, topping the eight saves he managed in 2019. J.P. Feyereisen went 3-for-4 on save chances in the meantime, but Feyereisen hasn't pitched since Tuesday, so Castillo may be manager Kevin Cash's preferred closing option once again. As per usual with the Rays, expect the ninth-inning situation to remain fluid all year.
