Matt Kemp left before the fourth inning after tweaking his sore left hamstring and Andre Ethier was ejected in the fifth for arguing a strike call. Consider Fowler day-to-day for now. We'll update you on his status when Colorado makes an announcement.

Dexter Fowler is not in the Rockies' starting lineup for the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Pirates. Tyler Colvin will make the start in center field and bat second against James McDonald. Fowler should return to the lineup for the second half of the double-dip.

Dexter Fowler went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and runs scored in Wednesday's blowout of the Giants. Fowler's first extra-base hit of the year came off Tim Lincecum in the third before he ripped Jeremy Affeldt for a two-bagger in the sixth. A nice night, but Fowler is still batting just .250/.294/.375 with one steal through his first 17 plate appearances. Recently bumped from the leadoff spot, perhaps he'll take to the two-hole.

Dexter Fowler went 0-for-4 as the Rockies' No. 2 hitter on Monday and is 1-for-11 to start the season. The Rockies dropped Fowler from first to second in the lineup because of his dreadful spring. Since he still hasn't recovered, they might want to try him hitting eighth next.

Dexter Fowler belted a two-run homer off the White Sox' Gavin Floyd Wednesday. It was his only hit in four trips to the plate, and he actually improved his spring average significantly to a still-horrendous .118. He's also struck out 16 times while walking just twice. Fowler still carries plenty of promise, especially after how he finished last year, but we're a little concerned about how badly he's struggled in Cactus League action.

Dexter Fowler belted a solo homer in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs. Fowler didn't reach base in his first two plate appearances but got to James Russell in the fifth inning with a longball. The soon-to-be 26-year-old added muscle over the offseason and is looking to carry over his production from the second half last year, when he posted an .880 OPS.

Dexter Fowler doubled and hit a solo home run in Colorado's loss to the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. He took Josh Collmenter deep in the third. Fowler is now batting .288 to go along with 23 extra base hits, 18 RBI, 27 walks and eight stolen bases in 45 games since returning to the Rockies on July 15. He's making a case to enter 2012 as their leadoff hitter.

Dexter Fowler went 2-for-4 with a double, walk and two runs scored in Colorado's win over the Astros on Tuesday. The two-hit night was the first in five games for Colorado's leadoff hitter. He'll take a solid .264/.365/.396 triple slash into play on Wednesday.

Dexter Fowler suffered a bruised elbow Sunday when he was struck by a Wade LeBlanc pickoff throw. Fowler was still sore after the game and may need to sit out of Monday's series-opener against the Phillies. He posted a .361/.443/.557 slash line in the month of July.
