The Angels recalled Daniel from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel was optioned to Triple-A during spring training. He's started in five games with Salt Lake, going 0-3 while recording a 6.08 ERA, 1.81 WHIP and 26:8 K:BB over 23.2 innings. To make room for Daniel in the bullpen, the Angels optioned right-hander Zac Kristofak to Triple-A Salt Lake following Sunday's loss to the Twins.

The Angels optioned Daniel to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel made three appearances for the Angels in the final month of last season, surrendering just three runs in 12.1 innings while striking out nine batters and walking nine. The 26-year-old got off to a strong start in the Cactus League as well, but he will now head to Triple-A to begin the season. If Daniel is able to stay hot in the minors, there is a decent chance he gets another look in the majors sometime this summer.

Daniel (1-1) yielded two hits and a walk over five shutout frames Friday, striking out two and earning a win over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel finished the game after Chase Silseth allowed one run through four frames. Daniel threw 47 of 61 pitches for strikes and worked around the only threat he faced in the ninth inning. The 26-year-old rookie registered a 2.19 ERA across 12.1 MLB frames since being promoted in early September. Daniel also posted a 2.15 ERA through 29.1 minor-league innings in 2023.

Daniel (0-1) allowed three runs on three hits and five walks over 4.1 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel took over for Jose Suarez in the second inning and was handed his first MLB loss after serving up a solo homer to Alex Kirilloff in the sixth. Daniel also allowed a pair of runs in the fourth inning while struggling with his command. He threw just 48 strikes on 91 pitches and has now walked eight batters in 7.1 career MLB innings. Daniel also walked seven batters in his last appearance with Triple-A Salt Lake.

The Angels recalled Daniel from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday to pitch against Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Davis' last appearance came on Sept. 13 with Salt Lake, where he surrendered two runs on two hits and seven walks over the course of four innings. He has yet to allow a run in the majors through three frames, but recent issues with command could cause him to get into trouble as he pitches bulk innings Friday. Aaron Loup (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move.

The Angels will recall Daniel from Triple-A Salt Lake to pitch Friday in Minnesota, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
He could be used as a traditional starter or as a bulk reliever behind an opener, but either way, Daniel is slated to handle most of the innings for the Halos. Tyler Anderson had been scheduled to take the hill Friday but is being pushed back due to a knee injury. Daniel tossed three scoreless relief innings in his major-league debut earlier this month.

The Angels optioned Daniel to Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
A day after tossing three scoreless frames out of the bullpen in his major-league debut, Daniel will head back to the minors and likely finish the season in Triple-A. Outfielder Jordyn Adams was recalled from Salt Lake in a corresponding move to fill Daniel's roster spot.

Daniel pitched three scoreless relief innings Thursday in the Angels' 3-2 win over the Guardians, allowing two hits while issuing three walks and striking out one batter.
EDGE Analysis
Despite having not pitched in the high minors this season after spending most of the campaign on the Angels' 60-day injured list while recovering from a shoulder strain, Daniel got the call to the big club Thursday after he posted a 1.77 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 28:5 K:BB across 20.1 innings over his final four rehab starts with Single-A Inland Empire. The right-hander was a bit wild with three walks and a wild pitch in his major-league debut, but he worked out of a few jams to hold the Guardians scoreless while throwing a team-high 66 pitches in a bullpen game for Los Angeles. It's unclear if Daniel will remain in a bulk-relief role moving forward, and it's possible that he heads back to the minors whenever Chase Silseth (concussion) is able to return from the 7-day injured list.

Daniel had his contract selected by the Angels on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel was expected to draw the start against the Guardians on Thursday, though Jhonathan Diaz will get the nod instead. It's still possible that Daniel will take the mound for multiple frames, however, as he's worked at least five innings in each of his last three appearances with Triple-A Salt Lake. In four starts at the level, he maintained a 1.77 ERA and 1.00 WHIP to go along with an impressive 28:5 K:BB across 20.1 innings.

The Angels will recall Daniel from Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blum implies that Daniel is likely to start Thursday against the Guardians, as the Angels currently don't have a starter listed for the series opener. Daniel has been limited to just six rehab starts this season after coming back from a shoulder injury, but he's been excellent in those outings with a 1.78 ERA and 37:5 K:BB over 25.1 innings between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Single-A Inland Empire. He had been slated to start Thursday for Salt Lake, but the Halos have a need for a sixth starter, so he'll take the ball with the big club instead. Daniel was on the Angels' active roster briefly last season but didn't make an appearance, so he'll be making his major-league debut Thursday.
