The Angels optioned Daniel to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel will head back to the minors just a day after he surrendered four earned runs over five innings during his start Monday against the Blue Jays. Kenny Rosenberg will come up from Salt Lake to fill the open roster spot, though Jack Kochanowicz is the most likely option to fill the fifth spot in the Halos' rotation.

Daniel (1-4) took the loss Monday against Toronto, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
All four runs attributed to Daniel came in the third inning, when he surrendered back-to-back doubles, an RBI single and a two-run home run, with the long ball coming off Leo Jimenez's bat. Daniel has surrendered at least four runs in back-to-back starts and has done so in four of six starts this season. Though Daniel is expected to remain in the rotation, the Angels could replace him with Jack Kochanowicz, who allowed two runs across 7.2 innings Sunday after being recalled from Double-A.

Daniel will not start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel was surprisingly named the Angels' starter for Sunday's series finale despite throwing 83 pitches in Game 1 of a doubleheader Wednesday. However, the team will switch course and start Jack Kochanowicz on Sunday instead of having Daniel pitch on three days' rest. Daniel is a candidate to pitch Monday against the Blue Jays on regular rest, though the Angels haven't released their probable starters for the three-game home series.

Daniel will make his next start Sunday in Washington against the Nationals, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel was roughed up in his most recent loss Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader with the Yankees, taking a loss while giving up five earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four. Even though Daniel handled a relatively standard workload (83 pitches) in that outing, the Angels will have the right-hander return to the mound on three days' rest rather than his usual four or five Sunday. The Angels haven't specifically said that Daniel will be on a workload restriction against the Nationals, though it wouldn't be surprising if that is the case.

Daniel (1-3) took the loss against the Yankees on Wednesday in Game 1 of a doubleheader, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four batters over 3.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel fell behind 2-0 after one inning and 3-0 after two before pitching his first scoreless frame in the third. However, he couldn't maintain any momentum in the fourth, as he allowed two of the three hitters he faced to reach base before getting the hook. Altogether, the rookie ended up allowing five runs, the third time in five starts he's given up that amount (though in one of those starts, only four of the runs were earned). Daniel has shown some promise too with a pair of strong starts during which he's given up just one earned run across a combined 13 frames, but his overall 6.04 ERA and 1.38 WHIP (despite a solid 23:4 K:BB) over 25.1 innings make him a volatile fantasy starter.

Daniel and the Angels will not play Tuesday after their game against the Yankees was postponed due to inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
The contest has been rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader Wednesday. Daniel will now take the ball for the Angels in one of those two games.

Daniel is scheduled to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees on the road.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel will stick around as the Angels' No. 5 starter for another turn after he showed well in his return to the big leagues this past Wednesday, when he limited the Rockies to one run over five innings while striking out five batters. The right-hander will draw a tougher test for his second turn through the rotation, but barring a disaster of an outing in The Bronx, Daniel should have some staying power in a starting role with the Halos.

Daniel did not factor into the decision in a loss to the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over five innings while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel got himself in trouble in the opening frame when he allowed three of the first five batters to reach, leading to one run coming home for Colorado. However, the right-hander settled in from that point on, hurling four shutout innings before being relieved by Jose Marte at the start of the sixth. Daniel had allowed at least four runs in each of his previous two starts coming in but now holds a robust 19:2 K:BB on the season. Daniel is expected to take the mound again next week against the Yankees in New York, assuming he earned himself at least another start with Wednesday's solid performance.

Daniel is scheduled to start Wednesday's game against the Rockies in Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
The Halos brought Daniel up from Triple-A Salt Lake this past Friday, but after he wasn't needed in relief for any of the club's ensuing four contests, he'll step into the rotation spot that briefly belonged to Kenny Rosenberg. Daniel owns a 5.82 ERA over 17 innings in the majors this season, but his underlying metrics (3.69 SIERA, 4.35 xERA, 18.8 K-BB%) offer hope that he'll turn in better surface numbers moving forward.

The Angels recalled Daniel from Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel will replace Kenny Rosenberg, who surrendered six runs in a start Thursday, in the back end of the Angels rotation. Daniel has made three starts with the Angels this season, producing a 5.82 ERA with a 14:1 K:BB across 17,0 innings. Assuming he fills Rosenberg's spot, Daniel would be in line for a home start against the Rockies on Wednesday.
