David Ross went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Astros. Ross took Bud Norris deep in the second inning. Ross is now hitting a robust .284/.371/.490 on the year, but has made just seven starts since the All-Star break. Unless you're absolutely desperate for power, he's not an option in one-catcher NL-only leagues.

David Ross drove home four runs, including a three-run homer as the Braves bested the Mets 7-5 on Friday. Ross finished the night 1-for-2 and also walked three times. Filling in for Brian McCann, who's on paternity leave, Ross extended the Braves streak of consecutive games with a HR from their starting catcher to five games. The 35-year-old Ross, long regarded as one of the best backup catchers in the league, is now hitting .282 with four homers and 11 RBI in 78 at-bats on the year.

David Ross (groin) has yet to try running at full speed. Ross hasn't played since tweaking his groin last Friday. The Braves will keep J.C. Boscan on the roster until Ross his healthy. "I caught [Tuesday] in the bullpen," Ross said. "I could catch if I had to. Running is the thing."
