Robertson worked around a hit to pitch a shutout eighth inning in Saturday's win over the Red Sox, striking out one.
EDGE Analysis
There was some thought when Aroldis Chapman was removed from the closer role in mid-August that Robertson could be in line to take over the ninth inning, and while that still could hold true on occasion, Dellin Betances has seen every save opportunity since then. Robertson has still been very effective when called upon though, and remains a solid source of strikeouts.

Robertson could get some save chances going forward, as Aroldis Chapman was officially removed from the closer's role Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees have not specified who will get saves, but Dellin Betances and Robertson figure to be the top two options. Betances is likely owned in roto leagues, but Robertson may be out on waivers, and is worth an add, especially for owners chasing saves in deeper leagues.

Robertson struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 14th save of the season, and first as a Yankee, in a 5-3 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
With Aroldis Chapman nursing a sore hamstring and Dellin Betances having pitched on three straight days coming into Wednesday, closing duties fell to Robertson and he was more than up to the task. The former White Sox stopper could see more save chances in the short term if Chapman remains sidelined and manager Joe Girardi decides to keep Betances in his eighth-inning role, but Robertson is more likely to be a source of holds than saves over the final weeks of the season.

Robertson was traded to the Yankees on Tuesday as part of a multi-player deal.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson has long been the subject of trade rumors and has finally found his new home for the stretch run of the 2017 season. This move will almost certainly have a negative effect on Robertson's fantasy value in standard leagues, as he'll no longer be in line for saves opportunities with his new ball club. The 32-year-old will likely be utilized as a setup man in the back-end of the Yankees' loaded bullpen.

Robertson, who threw a scoreless inning in a non-save situation Sunday, had scouts from the Red Sox and Yankees on hand watching him pitch, Toni Ginnetti of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rumors of Robertson being traded to the Nationals were popular during the first half of the season, but Washington made its long speculated move to acquire bullpen help elsewhere Sunday. Ryan Madson and Sean Doolittle were sent from Oakland to Washington, presumably to address the team's closer problems. Other clubs are interested in Robertson, but the Nationals were a team in need of a closer while the Red Sox and Yankees are looking at him to be a setup man. The obvious implication Sunday's development is that Robertson's value will be reduced if he's not closing games, and the potential haul he could get in fantasy circles will be diminished.

Robertson pitched a clean ninth inning to record the save Saturday against the Rockies. He struck out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
It took Robertson just 13 pitches (nine strikes) to shut the door in his first opportunity since June 29. The White Sox will likely offer him up on the trade market in the coming weeks, and although Robertson has only 12 saves on the year for this rebuilding club, his deep resume will garner plenty of interest. (Are the Nationals on speed dial yet?) Though perhaps a team will acquire him to be a setup piece, it's hard not to picture him as the stopper if he finds a new home.

Robertson was activated from the paternity list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander was given that designation before Monday's game and will be on the roster card for Friday's series-opening clash with the Rockies. Robertson remains a highly likely candidate to be traded in the coming weeks, so his understudy, Tommy Kahnle, should still be added in many fantasy leagues despite the closer's return.

Robertson was placed on the paternity list prior to Monday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson will step away from the team for a few days to be with his wife while she gives birth. With an off-day approaching Thursday, he should be back for Friday's series opener against the Rockies. In the meantime, Tommy Kahnle could snatch a save chance or two in his absence.

Robertson improved to 4-2 with 1.2 scoreless innings Sunday against the Rangers. He allowed two hits and a walk with two strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson got the final two outs with the bases empty in the top of the eighth inning, then got the opportunity to close out the contest when a Yolmer Sanchez homer in the bottom of the frame turned a 5-4 deficit into a 6-5 lead. Texas was able to load the bases against him in the ninth, but Robertson nailed down the victory with a three-pitch strikeout of Carlos Gomez.

David Robertson's wife is past due with the couple's second child, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson's wife Erin tweeted that she was at the ballpark while he locked down the save against against the Yankees, his former club. If she goes into labor in the next few days, Robertson could need to spend time on the paternity list soon, meaning Tommy Kahnle could fall into at least one save chance. Fantasy players looking to scrounge for any possible closing opportunity could make that move.
