Robertson has returned to the White Sox's training camp from the World Baseball Classic and is uncertain when he'll next pitch for Chicago, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson last pitched in the final game of the WBC, mopping up Team USA's 8-0 championship win over Puerto Rico. He's already had plenty of work, much of it in the playoff-like atmosphere that is the WBC, so finding opportunities for him over the final week of training camp isn't paramount. Robertson will open the regular season as Chicago's closer, though he's in the same boat as other veterans on the roster of this rebuilding team. His name came up in trade talks all offseason, and he's expected to be dealt at some point.

Robertson (knee) has been the subject of trade talks between the White Sox and Nationals, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nationals wanted to include Robertson in their winter trade for Adam Eaton and looked close to sealing the deal last week before talks hit a stalemate. A Nationals official admitted to a stalemate and said no trade is imminent. With the White Sox in an obvious rebuild mode, Robertson represents a very likely trade chip. The question for fantasy players is whether he winds up as a closer on a new team or as a setup guy. Landing with the Nationals, who were rebuffed several times during the offseason in their attempts to sign an established closer, would likely mean Robertson stays in a closer role.

Robertson (knee) is on the provisional roster for Team USA as it prepares for the World Baseball Classic, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson underwent some cleanup surgery on his left knee following the 2016 season, but with his plans to participate in the World Baseball Classic, the knee does not appear to be a major concern this spring.

Robertson had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to clean up his meniscus, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson apparently was pitching through the ailment for a while, although it didn't seem to inhibit him much during the season as he posted 37 saves. The White Sox are confident that the right-hander will be able to pitch without restriction when spring training rolls around, so this procedure likely will not affect his outlook for the upcoming season.

Robertson got two outs with just one pitch Wednesday against the Rays, drawing a game-ending double play for his 37th save.
EDGE Analysis
That's about as easy as they come. The veteran closer has had a bit of a tough 2016, as his typically unimpeachable control has been off, but he's still put up his third consecutive season with a save total in the mid-30s. That's not to say his declining control isn't a concern looking ahead to next year, though.

Robertson (5-3) struck out two while allowing a hit and a walk in a scoreless top of the ninth inning Thursday against the Indians. He was rewarded for the effort with a win when Chicago scored the winning run in the bottom of the frame.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox closer has had a productive second campaign in Chicago, rewarding owners with five wins to go with his 35 saves. Factor in Robertson's tremendous 10.4 K/9, and you get a top-notch all-around option.

Robertson picked up his 35th save of the season Wednesday, giving up a walk and a hit before shutting the door. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson has now saved 35 games in 42 tries in 2016, not far from the 34 in 41 he put up a year ago. His 3.68 ERA and 1.40 WHIP aren't exactly dominating, but Robertson does boast a healthy 10.3 K/9 rate. At 31 years old, Robertson has seen his ERA climb in each of the past four seasons, a somewhat alarming trend. His cutter velocity has remained steady around 92 mph, but opponents are batting .277 off the pitch this year, the highest rate of his career.

Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth inning on two hits while striking out one to earn his 33rd save of the season Sunday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Robertson has collected six saves and a win in his last seven outings since blowing his sixth save of the campaign earlier in the month, and he lowered his ERA to 3.67 in the process. Despite posting his worst ERA since 2010, he has a very realistic chance of matching his career-high in saves, which is 39.

Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth inning on one hit while striking out one to earn his 32nd save of 2016 Sunday against the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
After seeing his ERA swell to a season-high 4.46 on July 24, he's lowered it to 3.81 in his 12 outings since. Despite posting his highest ERA since 2010, he's now saved at least 31 games in each of the last three seasons.
