Ortiz went 3-for-5 with double, triple, solo homer, three RBI and a walk in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning victory over the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The 40-year-old legged out his first three-bagger since 2013, and also launched his fifth homer of May, matching his April total in just 12 games. It marked Ortiz's fifth multi-hit effort of the month, continuing what has already been a memorable final season of his storied career. Ortiz is now slashing .320/.405/.695 over 128 at-bats.

Ortiz is back in the lineup Wednesday, batting fourth as the designated hitter against the A's, Pete Abraham of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ortiz got Tuesday off, but the 40-year-old has been arguably the team's best hitter this season. He's hitting for a .321/.402/.688 slash line with nine home runs and 29 RBI this season, even stealing a base. He replaces Josh Rutledge in the lineup while Travis Shaw slides over to third to cover.

Ortiz is not in the lineup Tuesday against the A's, Tim Britton of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ortiz is coming off a 3-for-5, two RBI showing that raised his batting average to .321, but he'll get a day off Tuesday. Hanley Ramirez will serve as the team's DH in his place while Travis Shaw will slide across the diamond and cover first base.

Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs in Sunday's win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
In a contest devoid of many big offensive rallies, Ortiz tacked on a pair of runs by going deep in the fourth inning and then again in the seventh. He is hitting the lights out at the moment, with six homers to go along with 11 RBI and seven runs scored over the last nine games, and he continues to play a crucial role in the cleanup spot for a potent Red Sox offense.

Ortiz was 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a losing effort against the Yankees on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
The ageless wonder does it again. His two-run blast in the first inning gave the Red Sox an early lead, but it was all the offense they could muster. He needs a day off now and then, and he could sit for most inter-league games, but with a .313 average, seven home runs, and 25 RBI, it would be hard - no, impossible - to find a more valuable 40-year-old fantasy player.

Ortiz went 2-for-5 with his sixth homer of the year and three RBI against the White Sox on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Will he ever get old? At age 40, Boston's DH isn't showing any signs of slowing down at all -- he owns an OPS over 1.000. Aside from the occasional rest day and games in National League parks, there's no reason not to love owning Ortiz. He comes too cheaply in drafts every single year.

Ortiz went 2-for-3 with a home run, his second in as many games, against the Yankees on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Big Papi hit three bombs in the first six games of the year, but he didn't hit another one until Friday night. He is 7-for-16 (.438) with five extra-base hits and five RBI in the last four games.

Ortiz's two-run homer in the eighth inning provided the winning margin in Boston's 4-2 victory over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Ortiz got to Dellin Betances as Boston scored all of its runs in the seventh and eighth innings to overturn a 2-0 deficit. The 40-year-old designated hitter has multiple hits in four of his last six games and leads the Red Sox with 18 RBI and 15 extra-base hits (.613 slugging percentage).

Ortiz is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Braves, batting fourth.
EDGE Analysis
With the Red Sox's current series with the Braves transitioning up to Fenway Park on Wednesday, Boston will once again have the luxury of using Ortiz at the DH spot. Ortiz will be facing Atlanta starter Bud Norris on Wednesday. In 14 career at-bats against Norris, Ortiz has a .267/.267/.667 slash line with a pair of home runs and three strikeouts.

Ortiz is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Braves, Scott Lauber of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Boston finishing up a two-game set in a National League park, manager John Farrell will elect to give Ortiz another day off rather than try his hand at first base. The 40-year-old struck out as a pinch-hitter Monday and will likely be available in a similar capacity again Tuesday.
