The move came following Sunday's contest, when Marwin Gonzalez left with an ankle sprain. While there may be no correlation with that , Houston will look to improve their offensive production, adding Alex Bregman, one of the team's top prospects, potentially as an everyday utility player.

Worth drew the start at third base and hit second in the lineup in his debut for the Astros on Tuesday, going 1-for-4 in a 5-2 win over the Cardinals.
