Worth signed a minor league deal with the Diamondbacks on Monday that includes an invite to spring training, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. Worth reportedly had multiple minor league offers including one in which the team requested he become a pitcher. He spent 2014 mostly with Triple-A Toledo, batting .211/.296/.300 with one home run and 18 RBI along with nine stolen bases. He seems to be facing an uphill battle for a roster spot heading into spring training, but a strong showing could give him a chance to nab a utility spot given Worth's ability to second, shortstop and third.
