Castro is out of Friday's lineup for the Braves matchup with the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
After a strong start to his season in the majors, Castro has fallen off the map, now sporting a batting average below the dreaded Mendoza Line. Unless he gets it together at the plate soon, he could find playing time even harder to come by. Kelly Johnson will take over at second base in his stead.

Castro is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Castro is just 3-for-39 over the past 12 games, so Atlanta is likely giving him the day off and trying to get him some good matchups to help him break out of his slump. Chase D'Arnaud will get the start at second base in his place.

Castro will return to the starting lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Diamondbacks, Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a hot start following being called up in mid-April Castro has cooled down some recently. As a result he got the night off Friday. He will return to second base in game 2 of the series however, and bat seventh in the order.

Castro is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Castro has worked his way into the starting lineup in 11 straight games, as his versatility as allowed him to get starts at second base, third base and shortstop. He currently finds himself in a 0-for-21 slump, however, so perhaps a day of rest is what Castro needs to clear his head and get going at the plate.

Castro is likely to play some games at shortstop in the near future, David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
The middle infielder has played well, going 12-for-44 (.273) in 12 games this season, but the real reason Castro might move to shortstop is the struggling Aybar. The 32-year-old veteran is hitting just .155, including .077 versus left-handers. Mark Bowman of MLB.com also wrote that Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez may switch the two middle infielders, but Bowman reports that the switch won't occur as quickly as O'Brien suggested it would.

Castro is in the lineup and batting second for Friday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Castro is receiving his fourth straight start for the Braves and has taken advantage of the opportunity, hitting .267 with three RBI and one stolen base over the past three games. With Hector Olivera, Ender Inciarte, and Gordon Beckham all on the 15-day DL, he should continue to see solid playing time until they return.

Castro went 2-for-5 with a steal, two RBI and a run Wednesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Getting his second straight shot in the starting lineup -- this time at third base -- Castro took advantage. However, the 23-year-old hasn't shown either power or speed in the minors, and his context as a non-regular for a bad team doesn't offer a whole lot of fantasy promise.
