Sanchez (9-8) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on two hits over nine innings in a 5-1 victory over the Nationals. He struck out four without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw was incredibly efficient in his second complete game of the season, firing 71 of 99 pitches for strikes, and an Alex Call solo shot in the fourth inning was the only blemish on his performance. Sanchez followed up his other nine-inning gem, a shutout of the Marlins on June 28, with a seven-run stinker against the Cubs -- an outing that began a tough stretch in which the 27-year-old posted a 6.63 ERA over the seven starts prior to Saturday. Sanchez will look to avoid a similar swoon in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Atlanta.

Sanchez (8-8) took the loss Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing seven runs on 12 hits and two walks while striking out four in 4.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
The Diamondbacks pushed a run across in the first before opening things up with four more runs in the third against Sanchez. He eventually exited after allowing back-to-back base hits in the fifth and both runners came around to score on a bases-clearing triple by Jake McCarthy. Sunday was Sanchez's first time going fewer than five innings since he gave up seven runs versus the Cubs on July 4, and his 12 hits allowed was a season worst. Sanchez has a 6.63 ERA over his last seven starts and is now up to 131.1 innings pitched this season, which is 32 more innings than his previous career high. He'll look to turn things around in a projected meeting against the Nationals over the weekend.

Sanchez (8-7) got the win Tuesday against the Dodgers, allowing one run on five hits and a walk while striking out two over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez blanked the Dodgers into the sixth inning, but Teoscar Hernandez led off the frame with a double and eventually came around to score. The southpaw has now struck out just two batters in three of his past four starts, though on the bright side Tuesday marked his first time going at least six innings and allowing one run or zero since he threw a shutout June 28. The 27-year-old now owns a 3.27 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 100:32 K:BB in 126.2 innings and lines up to face the Diamondbacks over the weekend.

Sanchez (7-7) took the loss against the Yankees Wednesday, allowing six runs on eight hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez didn't pitch as poorly as his final line would indicate Wednesday -- the majority of the damage against him came on DJ LeMahieu's grand slam in the second inning. The left-hander would then keep the Yankees off the board for three straight innings -- however, Sanchez allowed a pair of two-out singles in the sixth before he was replaced by Jose Ruiz, who would allow both inherited runners to score. It's the third straight loss for Sanchez, who's struggled to a 6.59 ERA in his last five outings. His ERA is up to 3.36 on the season with a 1.28 WHIP and 98:31 K:BB across 21 starts (120.2 innings). Sanchez will look to get back on track his next time out -- he's currently in line for a tough road matchup with the Dodgers early next week.

Sanchez (7-6) took the loss Friday vs the Guardians, giving up three runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez got little run support from his offense, as he ended up with the loss despite tossing a quality start. Sanchez now has lost three of his last four starts after a streak of 11 consecutive outings without a loss. The 27-year-old remains a steady option with quality starts in nine of his last 14 starts, and he's allowed just three home runs in 115 innings this season. Sanchez will take a 3.05 ERA into his next start, tentatively scheduled vs the Yankees.

Sanchez (7-5) took the loss Saturday as the Phillies were downed 4-1 by the Pirates, giving up two runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out two without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw didn't pitch poorly, tossing 56 of 90 pitches for strikes as he fell just short of his 11th quality start of the season, but the Phillies' offense couldn't solve Luis Ortiz. Sanchez has allowed two runs or less in five of his last six starts, posting a 2.79 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 28:5 K:BB in 38.2 innings over that stretch. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Guardians.

Sanchez (7-4) picked up the win in Wednesday's 4-3 victory over the Dodgers, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw produced his 10th quality start of the season, and fourth in his last five trips to the mound, on 91 pitches (67 strikes). Over that stretch, Sanchez has gone 4-1 with a 2.73 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 26:5 K:BB through 33 innings. The 27-year-old has already set a career high with 103.1 big-league innings this season, but he's in no danger of being shut down -- he tossed 149 innings across all levels in 2023. Sanchez will get a breather though, as he isn't scheduled to take the mound again before the All-Star break.

Sanchez (6-4) suffered the loss Thursday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks over four innings against the Cubs. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez' outing began in a familiar manner, allowing no runs through the first three innings while being staked with an early 2-0 lead. But Sanchez, who has done a great job this year at avoiding the big inning, couldn't escape that trap Thursday, allowing six batters to reach base during a five-run fourth, then saw his day end prematurely after the first two batters reached base in the fifth. All told, Sanchez, who was coming off a complete game shutout and had allowed just one earned run over 23 innings during his previous three starts, allowed a season-high seven runs, lifting his season ERA more than half a run from 2.41 to 2.96. He'll look to rebound next week when the Phillies host a showdown series against the Dodgers.

Sanchez (6-3) earned the win against the Marlins on Friday, allowing three hits and no walks in a complete-game shutout while striking out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez was dominant, allowing only singles and generating 16 swinging strikes on 101 pitches in his first career complete-game shutout. Since June 17, the southpaw has won three straight contests and surrendered just one earned run over 23 innings with an 18:1 K:BB. The 27-year-old owns a 2.41 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 79:24 K:BB through 93.1 innings in 2024 and will look to stay hot against the Cubs next week.

Sanchez (5-3) earned the win Sunday, allowing three hits and striking out four over seven scoreless innings against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Sanchez was highly efficient, needing just 80 pitches through seven and facing just one batter over the minimum thanks to a couple of timely double plays. The seven innings matched a season high for Sanchez, who tossed his eighth quality start and allowed zero runs over six or more innings for the second time this season. It's also the fifth time in his last six starts that Sanchez has allowed one or fewer runs, and he's posted a 1.78 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 23 strikeouts over 35.1 innings during that stretch. His next start is scheduled to take place next weekend, when the Phillies welcome Miami into the City of Brotherly Love for a four-game set.
