Kluber will have the blister removed from his finger in the coming days, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it was reported that Kluber was dealing with blisters on Opening Day, Cleveland's pitching coach said that Kluber will be good to go for his next start Sunday against the Diamondbacks. The discomfort brought on by the blisters seemed to impede on his ability to throw in Monday's game, as he gave up five runs over the course of six innings.

Kluber said a callus ripped on one of his fingers during his rough Opening Day start, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber said the blister made it difficult for him to spin the ball, and it showed in the start, in which he allowed five runs on six hits over six innings. The humidity in Texas didn't help things for Kluber. At this point, it doesn't appear that Kluber will miss any time to the injury, but considering the club's next series is in similarly humid Arizona, it's a situation worth watching in the season's early weeks. We'll keep an eye out for updates, but assume he'll make his next start as expected.

Kluber threw six innings, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three in a no-decision against the Rangers on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Cleveland's ace just wasn't on in this one, as he allowed three home runs. In his defense, he was facing a very strong lineup on the road in a hitter-friendly environment. Expect the Indians ace to bounce back in his next outing.

Kluber tossed four innings, allowing two runs on five hits and no walks while striking out four Padres on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After a clunker in his Cactus League debut, Kluber appeared in midseason form Sunday as he faced just one batter over the minimum through four frames. The Indians' ace came out for the fifth, but was removed after giving up two singles and an RBI double. Kluber will continue fine tuning his mechanics as he gears up to make his third straight Opening Day start for the Tribe.

Kluber was rocked over 2.1 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four Brewers in Monday's exhibition game against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians' ace was scheduled to go three innings in his spring debut, but Kluber was pulled after dealing 60 pitches before hitting the intended finish line. Pitching coach Mickey Callaway said, "He [Kluber] was a little rusty with the two-seamer. He didn't know where to start it. He was leaving pitches up at times, but his breaking ball was really good. There was lot of swing and miss at it and that's what we're looking for at this time of year." Kluber will be used judiciously throughout the Cactus League schedule as the team wants to limit his innings, but owners can expect a much more polished outing the next time he takes the hill.

Kluber completed a one-inning simulated game on Sunday with no issues, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber is slated to make his Cactus League debut on March 6. His delayed start is a planned approach to reduce his arm's exposure during spring training, and there is no injury concern regarding the 2014 AL Cy Young Award winner. Last season, Kluber finished among the AL's top-5 in wins (18), innings (215), strike outs (227), ERA (3.14) and WHIP (1.06). Needless to say, the Indians' ace is a beast and owners can move forward with drafting him with full confidence for 2017.

Kluber said he's planning to take the mound on Opening Day, though manager Terry Francona said if Kluber isn't ready, the Indians might delay his debut, Chris Assenheimer of the Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber isn't injured, but Cleveland wants to limit him this spring considering the right-hander has logged more than 700 innings in the last three years, including the postseason. Perhaps he'll miss a handful of starts during the season even if healthy, though despite concerns over his recent workloads, he's still one of fantasy's best starting pitchers.

Kluber, who will be on a strict limit this spring, may not be ready to start on Opening Day, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Terry Francona isn't ready to name his ace the Opening Day starter, and said the club is "slowing" the right-hander down early in camp. "If he's not ready for Game 1, we can adjust," Francona added. Although it's unclear how serious Francona is -- and it's extremely hard to imagine Kluber won't take the hill on Opening Day -- it's not difficult to read between the lines on the manager's message. Playoffs included, Kluber has logged more than 700 innings over the last three years, and Francona is making it clear that he'll protect Kluber's arm this season. He's still an elite fantasy option, but his value could take a slight hit if Kluber won't be guaranteed another 215-plus innings and multiple opportunities to notch complete games (he's had 10 over the last three years).

Kluber is expected to have some limits on his pitch count during the beginning of spring training, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The former Cy Young Award winner was one of the few healthy starters for Cleveland during their postseason run, which led to a heavy workload throughout the playoffs. The Indians seem content to ease Kluber into action this spring, which should hopefully allow him to hit the ground running when the regular season rolls around and continue to log a lot of innings as one of Cleveland's top starters.

Kluber will start Game 4 of the World Series on short rest, ESPN's Jayson Stark reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was masterful in Game 1 and only needed 88 pitches to get through six scoreless frames. The fact that the Indians were able to get their ace out of Tuesday's game at such a modest pitch count may have prompted the decision to bring him back to start Saturday in Wrigley Field on short rest. This also means that Trevor Bauer and Josh Tomlin will line up to pitch Game 5 and Game 6, respectively, on short rest.
