Kluber (back) headed back to Cleveland on Monday to continue rehabbing as he isn't ready to begin his five-day schedule yet, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the Indians were hopeful Kluber would be able to rejoin the rotation once eligible, it appears he's slightly behind schedule. He's headed back to Cleveland to do some one-on-one work with a physical therapist, and manager Terry Francona said they will regroup when the team returns from its series in Toronto on Friday, so more should be known then. Mike Clevinger, who started in place of Kluber last Sunday, would likely fill in for Kluber Saturday against the Twins.

Kluber (back) will be reevaluated Monday in Toronto before the team determines how long he'll remain out, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians want to see what the ace can and can't do before announcing a timeline for his return. Although the details are vague, Hoynes' report suggests Kluber will get a light workout in before Monday's game at the Rogers Centre. If all goes well, Kluber could be ready to get back on the hill Thursday in Houston.

Kluber (back) was placed on the 10-day DL on Wednesday, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes reports.
EDGE Analysis
He has been battling a stiff lower back, and was placed on the DL, as expected. The soonest he could return to the rotation would be May 13 against the Twins. Reliever Joe Colon was recalled as a corresponding move, but Mike Clevinger, who pitched Tuesday (the same night as Kluber) for Triple-A Columbus, is the most logical choice to step into the rotation for Sunday's start.

Kluber (back) has been battling issues for a few starts and may land on the 10-day disabled list to fully recover, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After Tuesday's start, one in which Kluber was removed early due to back tightness, manager Terry Francona noted that the team's ace has been dealing with the ailment for a while now. Furthermore, the skipper said Kluber would be re-evaluated Wednesday to determine if the right-hander would need to be placed on the DL. With the new 10-day rule, he'd only miss one start if he did in fact need just a short stint to heal.

Kluber exited Tuesday's game against the Tigers early with lower back discomfort, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kluber was getting bludgeoned by Tigers hitters prior to his early departure Tuesday. Through three innings, the Indians' ace had allowed five earned runs on seven hits, one walk and four strikeouts. Kluber was plagued by back discomfort earlier this season, so it's possible that a trip to the DL is coming in order to give the 31-year-old ample time to heal. Through six starts, Kluber's ERA is now sitting at 5.06. He'll be listed as day-to-day until a more official injury diagnosis emerges.

Kluber (3-1) dished seven innings, allowing three runs on eight hits and four walks while striking out 10 Astros in Thursday's win.
EDGE Analysis
Houston didn't shy away from Kluber early, plating three runs on seven hits before the right-hander could escape the third inning. However, Kluber settled in and held the Tribe's division rival scoreless over his last four frames. Through five starts, the ace owns an uncharacteristically high 3.2 BB/9, while at the same time posting admirable strikeout ratios (9.7 K/9). Kluber will take on the Tigers in his next start Tuesday.

Kluber (2-1) scattered three hits and two walks while striking out nine in a complete-game shutout of the White Sox on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Chicago hitters were overmatched all night, as Kluber faced just two batters over the minimum thanks to two double plays and didn't allow a White Sox runner to even reach second base. After a couple of shaky outings to begin the campaign, the 31-year-old ace now appears to be back in his usual, dominant form. His next start will come Thursday at home against the Astros.

Due to Wednesday's matchup with the Twins being postponed, Kluber will have his next start pushed back to Friday against the White Sox, Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Owners should never be tempted to sit an ace like Kluber, but the rescheduled matchup certainly isn't as friendly for the right-hander. The 31-year-old's splits against the Twins lineup are noticeably better than his numbers against the White Sox. Furthermore, the South Siders have been a tougher out than the guys from the Twin Cities so far in 2017. That said, Kluber is one of those special "set it and forget it" players, so deploy the former Cy Young with confidence.

Kluber (1-1) allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings to earn the win Saturday against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Although Kluber had little success holding down the Tigers bats, he was spotted to an early seven-run lead, and at least his fantasy owners came away from this contest with a win. He's now allowed at least five runs in two of his three starts to begin the year, but there's no reason to think that the Indians ace won't be able to quickly settle into a groove and turn things around. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Twins.

Kluber (0-1) was effective, but took the loss Sunday after allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out four against Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The All-Star was cruising early, but ran into trouble in the fourth inning. After recording two quick outs, Kluber allowed three straight singles that led to a pair of runs, one of which was the result of catcher Yan Gomes' throwing error. Kluber also surrendered a solo home run in the sixth, his fourth long ball given up over 12 innings this season. He'll look to get on track and capture his first win of 2017 when he takes the hill for his next start Saturday versus Detroit.
