Hamels labored through six innings in a loss Tuesday against Cincinnati. Despite seven strikeouts, he allowed five earned runs on eight hits and two walks.
A sixth inning Ivan De Jesus two-run homer was the biggest blow against Hamels. Hamels had been extremely steady over the past month, as Tuesday's outing broke a streak of six starts of at least seven innings pitched and two earned runs or fewer. Hamels has now struck out at least five batters in all 13 starts thus far this season.

Hamels was a hard luck loser, allowing two runs on five hits, walking one and striking out nine over eight innings as the Phillies dropped a 4-1 decision to Colorado on Friday night.
Hamels (5-4, 2.91 ERA) has been on a roll, notching wins in his previous four starts while dominating the competition. Rumors will no doubt continue to swirl as contending teams lose key arms to injury. The chances remain very good that Hamels will change uniforms sometime in the next couple of months, and his recent performance just enhances that likelihood.

Hamels improved to 3-3 with seven strong innings Wednesday against Pittsburgh, striking out nine and allowing just two runs on five hits and a walk.
Hamels is still in the process of getting his stats back on track after a couple early-season implosions, and his clunker two starts ago in Miami didn't help either. Still, he's racked up 55 strikeouts in 51 innings -- putting him in tie for second in the National League -- and should once again put up top-20 numbers among starting pitchers.

Hamels was sharp Friday night allowing just one run on four hits, walking two and striking out eight over seven innings of a 3-1 win against the Mets.
Hamels (2-3, 3.68 ERA) has been a model of inconsistency so far this season, logging three excellent starts compared to four clinkers. Regardless, his value remains high as contending teams with injuries mounting to their pitching staffs are sure to be exploring the possibility of acquiring Hamels at some point.

Hamels got rocked on Saturday, giving up six runs on 10 hits and three walks over six innings, striking out six.
He's had three excellent starts and three poor ones this season, resulting in a mediocre 4.14 ERA and 1.35 WHIP but also 38 K's in 37 innings. Hamels hasn't particularly helped his trade value so far, but as long as he's healthy he'll remain the prime target on the market for clubs looking to bolster their rotation.

Hamels fanned nine and walked four while holding the Cardinals to one run on four hits over seven innings Monday night.
He picked up the win in the process -- his first of the season -- but Hamels continues to have issues with free passes as he's now issued 16 over 31 innings to begin the season. A road start in Miami is on tap for the left-hander for his next turn in the rotation Saturday.

Hamels allowed just an unearned run on five hits over six innings Wednesday against Miami, but received no decision. He struck out five and walked three.
Four starts into the season, Hamels remains without a win -- not a surprise on a bad Phillies team -- but at least his stats are starting to normalize. However, his walk rate remains uncomfortably high, which is something Hamels is going to have to address moving forward. He'll draw the Cardinals next week.
