Flexen (6-8) picked up the win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, allowing one run on six hits and two walks over six innings in a 6-4 victory. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander also hit one batter with a pitch and managed a paltry six swinging strikes in 85 pitches, but the Nats didn't make much hard contact against Flexen, with only one of their six hits against him going for extra bases. The 28-year-old delivered his third straight quality start and eighth of the season, and he'll take a 3.84 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 67:34 K:BB through 96 innings into his next outing, which will come after the All-Star break.

Flexen won't start as scheduled Tuesday at Washington since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander last started July 4 in San Diego and delivered 6.2 scoreless innings, and he'll have a wait another day before retaking the mound due to some severe weather. The game is being made up via a doubleheader Wednesday, and Flexen figures to start one of those contests. The postponement means it's likely to be his last outing before the All-Star break.

Flexen is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday in Washington against the Nationals rather than in Sunday's series finale with the Blue Jays in Seattle, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After getting the Independence Day start against the Padres, Flexen appeared primed for a two-start week, but the Mariners instead used Wednesday's off day to reorder their rotation. Logan Gilbert, who started in Tuesday's 6-2 win over San Diego, will instead get the two-start week while he takes the hill Sunday on his normal four days' rest.

Flexen (5-8) earned the win during Monday's 8-2 victory over San Diego, allowing four hits and three walks with eight strikeouts in 6.2 scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Seattle staked Flexen to a two-run lead before he even took the mound and the righty cruised to an easy win, retiring the first 10 Padres he faced. The 28-year-old has now won three consecutive starts while posting a solid 3.09 during his last nine turns compared to a 4.00 mark on the season. Additionally, the eight strikeouts represent a season high as Flexen is averaging 3.9 per start during the nine-game stretch. He's scheduled to take the mound again this weekend against Toronto.

Flexen (4-8) picked up the win against the Orioles on Wednesday, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Flexen now has a personal winning streak going for the first time this season. After an ugly month of May, Flexen pitched to a respectable 4.09 ERA in June. His 1.45 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB in 33 innings in the month of June bode poorly for his chances of enjoying a similar level of run prevention moving forward.

Flexen (3-8) earned the win Friday versus the Angels. He allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in five-plus innings.
EDGE Analysis
Flexen allowed a solo shot and an RBI triple to Mike Trout, and Ryan Borucki allowed an inherited runner to score in the sixth inning. This was Flexen's first win in five starts in June despite him not allowing more than three runs in any of those games. He's still not pitching deep into games, as he's completed six innings only five times in 14 starts. The right-hander has a 4.31 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 55:27 K:BB across 77.1 innings. He's lined up for a favorable home start versus the Orioles next week.

Flexen allowed two runs on six hits and two walks with five strikeouts in 5.1 innings in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Angels. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Flexen hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of his last five starts, but he's gone 1-2 in that span. He's also kept the ball in the yard in four of those five games. The right-hander hasn't done anything particularly remarkable this year with a 4.23 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 52:25 K:BB through 72.1 innings, and he'll carry a 2-8 record into next week's projected road rematch with the Angels.

Flexen (2-8) took the loss against Minnesota on Monday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Flexen yielded plenty of traffic on the bases Monday, allowing multiple baserunners in four of his five frames. Still, he did a good job of limiting the damage, allowing a two-run homer to the second batter he faced in the first inning but keeping a strong Twins offense off the scoreboard the rest of the way. Flexen's early trouble was enough to send him to his eighth loss -- tied for second-most in the majors -- though his 4.30 ERA suggests that he hasn't been as bad as the record implies. In fact, the right-hander has posted a solid 3.04 ERA across 23.2 innings over his past four starts, though a 1.39 WHIP and 16:8 K:BB during that stretch isn't great.

Flexen (2-7) got the loss Tuesday after he pitched 6.2 innings, surrendering two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two versus the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Flexen tossed three scoreless innings to open the contest before the Astros got to him for two runs in the bottom of the fourth, accounting for all the damage against him in the outing. He has held his own against the Astros this season, surrendering a total of seven runs over 24.2 frames in four starts against the club this year, good for a 2.55 ERA in those outings. Flexen has now allowed six runs over 18.2 frames in his last three starts after giving up five runs over four innings against the Red Sox on May 21, lowering his ERA from 4.98 to 4.35 over 11 outings this season. He tentatively lines up to pitch again Monday versus the Twins.

Flexen did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over five innings against Baltimore. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Flexen struggled out of the gate, allowing two doubles and a single while throwing a wild pitch that all resulted in two first-inning runs for the Orioles. Baltimore added another run in the third, but Flexen minimized the damage and escaped with his seventh quality start of the campaign. His next start is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday's road matchup against the Astros.
