Chris Coghlan (knee) is scheduled to resume baseball activities this weekend.
Coghlan was placed on the disabled list earlier this month with left knee inflammation, though the Marlins originally intended to demote him before the injury was disclosed. They could still send him to the minors once he's back to full health.

Marlins placed OF Chris Coghlan on the minor league disabled list with an injured left knee.
Coghlan was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on Friday and has not been able to play in a game yet because of a knee injury that he has struggled with for most of the year. That may explain his ugly .230/.296/.368 batting line.

Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports that Chris Coghlan is headed to the disabled list, as opposed to Triple-A New Orleans, after he informed the Marlins of a pre-existing knee issue.
Coghlan was optioned to the minors on Friday after posting a lowly .230/.296/.368 batting line this season. It was thought that he was dealing with a nagging shoulder injury, but apparently his knee was also an issue. He'll continue to accrue service time while on the disabled list.

Marlins optioned OF Chris Coghlan to Triple-A New Orleans.
It's been quite a fall for a guy that batted .321 in his rookie season. Coghlan sports a lowly .230/.296/.368 batting line this season and is no doubt struggling to deal with his nagging shoulder injury. You should have already dropped him in your mixed league, but if you haven't feel free to do so now. Emilio Bonifacio and DeWayne Wise, who was called up to take Coghlan's spot on the roster, figure to see the majority of playing time in center field.
