Chris Capuano pitched seven innings of one-run ball in a defeat of the Braves on Monday. Capuano shut down the NL's highest-scoring offense to improve to 2-0 with a 3.52 ERA this season. He'll most likely miss some time due to injury, but he works as a spot starter in mixed leagues while healthy.

Chris Capuano allowed two runs on six hits in six innings of Wednesday's 10-inning loss to the Brewers. Capuano struck out four and walked two, but was done in by one mistake, a two-run bomb off the bat of Aramis Ramirez in the sixth inning. Tonight was the first time in three outings Capuano made it through six frames. The owner of a 4.50 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 15/7 K/BB ratio through his first 16 innings, he'll get the Braves at home next week.

Chris Capuano allowed two runs over 5 1/3 innings in a 3-2 win over the Pirates on Thursday, giving the Dodgers a 6-1 start on the season. He gave up six hits (including a solo homer by Michael McKenry) while fanning seven and walking none. This was a pretty typical Capuano start in a lot of ways. The southpaw has some strikeout upside, but generally isn't going to work deep into games. Consider him as a spot-start option in standard mixed formats.

Chris Capuano allowed four runs in 4 2/3 innings Saturday in a no-decision versus the Padres. Capuano had a shutout going until the fifth, when he gave up just his second hit of the evening and then walked three of the next four batters he faced, forcing in a run. Jamey Wright entered from there and walked two more batters in a row. In all, the Padres scored five times in the inning, with their only hits being a pair of singles. Capuano should be better than this most nights, but he's merely an NL-only play.

Chris Capuano limited the Brewers to one run on two hits and one walk in six innings of Friday's 9-4 loss. Capuano's only mistake came in the first, where he served up a solo home run to Ryan Braun. He whiffed an impressive seven, bringing his spring K/BB ratio to 22/5 through 19 2/3 innings. Making half of his starts in pitcher-friendly Dodger Stadium, Capuano should prove worth of a roster spot in deeper mixed leagues this season.

Chris Capuano allowed one run on two hits in four innings in Sunday's game against the Angels. Capuano has 10 strikeouts in three Cactus League appearances. He went 11-12 with a 4.55 ERA in 31 starts for the Mets last year before agreeing to a two-year, $10 million contract with the Dodgers in the offseason.

Chris Capuano had a successful spring debut Thursday, tossing two scoreless innings on two hits while striking out three in a win over the Athletics. A nice first impression with his new club. Matt Guerrier, Mike MacDougal, Todd Coffey and John Grabow also had scoreless appearances for the Dodgers. Capuano is being counted on for solid work this year in LA after inking a two-year, $10 million contract in December.

Dodgers signed LHP Chris Capuano to a two-year, $10 million contract. The deal, which became official after Capuano passed a physical, will also contain $1 million in possible incentives based on innings pitched. Capuano posted a 4.55 ERA and 1.35 WHIP while striking out 168 over 186 innings for the Mets this season, but it's worth noting that his ERA at spacious Citi Field (3.82) was much better than his mark on the road (5.42). He'll at least have another pitcher-friendly home park to pitch in, and we like him to be a solid back-end starter as long as he stays healthy (which is obviously far from a given).

Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reports that the Dodgers have signed Chris Capuano to a two-year, $10 million contract. The deal was first reported by Jim Bowden of SiriusXM Radio and has now been confirmed by Stark and others. Capuano had a pretty nice year for the Mets in 2011, posting a 4.55 ERA and 1.35 WHIP while striking out 168 over 186 innings. He also managed to make 31 starts after years of elbow issues. It's not a ton of money to commit to a guy that could slot in nicely at the back of the Dodgers rotation, but it's risky given Capuano's injury history and the fact that he had a 5.42 ERA away from pitcher-friendly Citi Field. At least he's going to another cavernous park in Dodger Stadium. Capuano's signing could signal the end of Hiroki Kuroda's tenure in LA.

Jim Bowden of SiriusXM Radio reports that free agent starter Chris Capuano has agreed to terms on a deal. Bowden doesn't have the team or details of the contract yet, but he says the deal is done. The Twins and Cubs have been connected to him, but it's unclear at this point if he wound up signing with either of those clubs. Stay tuned.
