Chase Utley went 1-for-4 with an RBI in a losing effort against the Pirates on Friday. The veteran second baseman continues to produce at a high level offensively, hitting .286/.343/.434 with six homers, 40 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Even at 35-years-old, he remains one of the top offensive performers at his position in the National League.

Utley has cooled off since his torrid start to the season, but still sports a fantastic .305/.364/.474 slash line with 33 RBI. Depending on the metric and the playing time threshold, Utley remains the best-hitting second baseman in the game, with Luis Valbuena being his closest competitor.

Chase Utley is not in the Phillies' starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Braves. It's just a day of rest for the veteran second baseman. Cesar Hernandez will start in his place.

Chase Utley went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly Friday against the Reds. Utley had just three hits in 16 at-bats this month coming into Friday's action. The 35-year-old has enjoyed a resurgent season even with his recent struggles, batting .320/.379/.505 with four home runs and 29 RBI over 55 games. He's a deserving candidate to start at second base for the NL in next month's All-Star Game.

Chase Utley went 0-for-5 in Wednesday's loss to the Nationals. Utley has been slumping, entering Wednesday's action with a .643 OPS in 44 plate appearances dating back to May 25. His OPS reached .973 in mid-May but is now down to .868. Utley is still the best-hitting second baseman in baseball, but the gap has shrunk considerably over the last two weeks.

Chase Utley is not in the Phillies' lineup Sunday. He's getting a day off against lefty Jon Niese. Domonic Brown is also getting a breather versus the southpaw.

Utley put the Phillies up 1-0 with his fourth-inning RBI triple and he would quickly come around to score on a Ryan Howard single. The second baseman's numbers have fallen back to earth a bit after a scorching start to the season, but still owns an impressive .338/.399/.559 slash line, each the best at the position.
