Anderson allowed two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Marlins on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson wasn't as dominant as he was in his Rockies debut last week, but he turned in a serviceable start. The Marlins tagged him for a run in each of the third and fourth innings, but the Rockies pulled ahead for good in the sixth. The veteran right-hander now has a 1.15 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 6:4 K:BB over 15.2 innings between the Rockies and the Rays. With the Rockies' rotation still awaiting the returns of several injured pitchers, there's a good chance Anderson will get another start, which lines up to be a home date against the Mets this weekend.

Anderson is slated to start Monday's game against the Marlins at Coors Field.
EDGE Analysis
After being poached off waivers from the Rays on May 12, Anderson moved into the Colorado rotation a few days later and provided a big lift for a shorthanded pitching staff. He took a no-decision in his team debut but did his part to keep the Rockies competitive with the Reds, working five scoreless frames and striking out three while allowing only two baserunners. Anderson will get the chance to build on that performance while he kicks off what will likely be a two-start week; his second turn is expected to come Saturday versus the Mets, also at Coors Field.

Anderson did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing one hit and one walk over five scoreless innings in a 3-1 loss against Cincinnati. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson stepped straight into the Colorado rotation after being waived by the Rays earlier this week, taking the place of Antonio Senzatela (elbow) and turning in a fantastic outing. He held the Reds to just one hit, which came on a Wil Myers single in the third, while lasting five innings. He was limited to just 59 pitches after coming out of the bullpen with Tampa Bay earlier this season. Though Tuesday's outing was certainly encouraging, managers shouldn't expect this form to continue for Anderson considering he has finished each of the last three seasons with an ERA above 6.00 (105.2 innings). However, he will likely have the opportunity to make a handful of starts considering the Rockies have several starters currently on the injured list.

Anderson is expected to start for the Rockies on Tuesday against the Reds, Suzie Hunter of TheDNVR.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
That would have been Antonio Senzatela's turn, but he was diagnosed Friday with a UCL sprain in his right elbow and is likely to be sidelined for multiple months. Anderson, claimed off waivers Wednesday from the Rays, holds an ugly 6.51 ERA over his last 110.2 major-league innings dating back to the beginning of the 2020 season.

Anderson was claimed off waivers by the Rockies on Friday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was designated for assignment by the Rays on Wednesday but will land with a new organization a few days later. The right-hander tossed five scoreless innings over two relief appearances with Tampa Bay to begin the year. Although he picked up his first career save in early May, he'll likely serve as a middle reliever in Colorado, or he could step in as a starter if Antonio Senzatela (forearm) is forced to miss time.

Tampa Bay designated Anderson for assignment Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson is getting booted off the active and 40-man rosters in order to make room for Jake Diekman, who is expected to be activated ahead of Wednesday's game in Baltimore after finalizing a one-year deal with Tampa Bay. In two appearances with the Rays, Anderson fired five scoreless innings and allowed just three baserunners. He'll now hit the waiver wire and could attract interest from a team in search of a multi-inning relief option.

Tampa Bay selected Anderson's contract from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay acquired Anderson from the Reds for cash considerations earlier Wednesday, and though the expectation was that the veteran right-hander would report to Triple-A Durham, he'll instead move to the big club after closer Pete Fairbanks (forearm) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move. While Anderson is up with the Rays, he'll likely serve as a multi-inning option out of the bullpen.

The Rays acquired Anderson from the Reds on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay already has three starting pitchers on the injured list (Shane Baz, Jeffrey Springs and Tyler Glasnow) and another (Josh Fleming) sustained a foot injury Tuesday, so the addition of the 35-year-old Anderson should improve the organization's rotation depth. Anderson will presumably slot into the Triple-A Durham rotation after logging a 4.30 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 19:13 K:BB across 23 innings over his five starts with the Reds' top affiliate in Louisville.

Anderson was reassigned to minor-league camp by the Reds on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was promoted to major-league camp earlier this month and was theoretically in the running for a rotation spot, but the likelihood of him nabbing one was never high. He'll represent rotation depth at Triple-A Louisville.

Anderson got promoted Tuesday to the major-league side of Reds camp.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was re-signed to a minor-league contract just before the start of spring training and has maybe put himself in position to claim an Opening Day roster spot. The veteran right-hander struggled to a 6.38 ERA over seven starts and two relief appearances with Cincinnati last season. If he does make the squad, it will likely be as a long reliever or mop-up man.
