Kuhl allowed four earned runs on six hits and two walks over five innings Wednesday against the Dodgers. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhl got off on the wrong foot Wednesday, giving up a first-inning two-run bomb; it was only the second long ball he's allowed all season. He has struggled mightily against left-handed hitting (.413 BA against entering Wednesday), so it wasn't a big surprise to see him struggle against a Dodgers lineup full of potent lefties. Walks have also been a bit of an issue thus far this season (4.06 BB/9), but Kuhl remains a solid streaming option in most leagues. He'll take the mound again Tuesday at home against Washington.

Kuhl allowed no runs on two hits while striking out two but received no decision Friday against the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhl was lifted from the game after a two hour and 26 minute rain delay. Coming into this contest, he held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in four of his five starts, but one horrible outing inflated his ERA at 5.54. Based on the body of work this season, he' worthy of consideration in weekly fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Kuhl (knee) will start Friday's game against the Brewers, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
As anticipated, the line drive Kuhl took to his right knee during his last outing Sunday against the Marlins isn't a major issue, so he'll be able to make his next turn in the rotation and isn't expected to face any restrictions. It still may be worthwhile to sit Kuhl out in leagues with daily lineup moves, however, as he owns an unremarkable 6.26 ERA and 1.74 WHIP in five starts this season. Those numbers don't figure to see much improvement as he takes on a power-packed Brewers lineup.

Kuhl (knee) said that he expects to make his next scheduled start Friday against the Brewers, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhl was struck in the right knee by a comebacker in his start Sunday against the Marlins, resulting in his removal from the game in the fifth inning. The right-hander noted that he's still dealing with a bruise and some swelling on the knee a day later, but if he's able to complete his pre-start bullpen session later in the week without incident, the Pirates won't push him off his regular schedule. Even if Kuhl's health prevails, a matchup against a potent Brewers offense probably won't make him an enticing lineup option in most weekly formats.

Kuhl left Sunday's game after a line drive hit his leg, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhl had allowed two runs (one earned) over four innings prior to being pulled from action. After the hit struck his leg, Kuhl attempted to make a couple practice throws, but ultimately was forced to leave. Consider Kuhl day-to-day for now as he approaches his next scheduled start, which is Friday against the Brewers.

Kuhl (1-2) was rocked for nine runs on eight hits and four walks in just 1.2 innings during Monday's loss to the Cubs. He recorded one strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhl retired the first two batters he faced in the first inning but then walked a pair before allowing an RBI single to Addison Russell and a three-run homer to Jason Heyward. He saw the visitors plate five more runs in the second as seven men reached base before his removal with two outs. Though he faced a tough opponent in this one, this miserable outing came out of nowhere for Kuhl, who had delivered quality starts in each of his last two outings to lower his ERA to 2.60. He amazingly saw that figure balloon over four full runs after this appearance and will look to bounce back Sunday against the Marlins.

Kuhl (1-1) gave up two runs on three hits and a walk over six innings while striking out three in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
He only threw 72 pitches (48 for strikes), but on a night when the Pirates' offense was struggling following the news of Sterling Marte's 80-game suspension, Kuhl got lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh inning with runners on first and second and one out. The right-hander will look to extend his quality start streak to three when he faces the Cubs at home Monday.

Kuhl (1-0) allowed one run on five hits while striking out six batters over 6.1 innings during Thursday's 4-3 loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
This was a solid outing against an admirable opponent, and Kuhl improved to a 2.38 ERA with an impressive 11 punchouts through 11.1 innings for the season. The strikeouts are particularly noteworthy because he fanned just 53 batters through 70.2 innings with an underwhelming 17.6 strikeout percentage last year. Additionally, after issuing six free passes through five frames in his 2017 debut, Kuhl didn't walk a single batter Thursday. There's could be sneaky potential here, and the 24-year-old righty should be on your radar.

Kuhl will have his start moved to Saturday against the Braves, Stephen Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kuhl was the scheduled starter for Thursday's rainout against the Red Sox, so the Pirates will opt to keep Ivan Nova on his regular schedule and slide Kuhl to the following day. This will line up the 24-year-old to face knuckleballer R.A. Dickey in the second game of their three-game series.

Kuhl's scheduled start against the Red Sox on Thursday has been postponed due to rain, MLB.com's Adam Berry reports.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams are scheduled for a make-up game April 13, but the date of Kuhl's next start is up in the air for the time being.
