Gaudin had carpal tunnel release surgery and could be pitching in a month, reports MLB.com's Ken Gurnick. Gaudin was reportedly out with a biceps issue, but carpal tunnel is a hand/wrist ailment; it's currently unclear whether the biceps, which he "tweaked" in spring training, is still bothering him. Nonetheless, assuming Gaudin progresses as expected, it's conceivable that he could return to the Dodgers' bullpen before the All-Star break.

Gaudin (biceps) will be reassigned to the minors, Eric Stephens of True Blue LA reports. Gaudin's reassignment should come as no surprise, as it was announced he will hang around Arizona for extended spring training. When fully healthy, he'll likely continue to serve in the minors as depth out of the bullpen, but could surface in the majors should an injury or two occur in the Dodgers' bullpen.

Gaudin (biceps) will stay in Arizona at extended spring training, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Gaudin was removed from a Cactus League appearance over a week ago with a "tweak" in his biceps area, and after undergoing evaluations the 32-year-old has shut it down and will rest for the time being. He'll miss the beginning of the season as he'll stay in extended spring training, but should be able to join the big league club once he's been medically cleared.

Gaudin (biceps) will be shut down, after he felt a tingling in his fingers while warming up Thursday afternoon, True Blue LA's Eric Stephen reports. Gaudin was scheduled to pitch in a minor league game, but he will instead be reevaluated, with an MRI likely coming in the next few days. He originally felt a tweak in his biceps during Saturday's Cactus League game.

Gaudin played catch Sunday and did not feel any recurrence of the tweak in his biceps, the Orange County Register's Bill Plunkett reports. He will throw a bullpen session Monday and should be on track to get back in a game in the near future.

Gaudin left his Cactus League start Saturday after feeling a "tweak" in his biceps area in the second inning, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports. The right-hander downplayed the issue after the game, suggesting he left simply because he didn't want to take the risk of pitching through it in a spring training game. Gaudin retired the first six batters he faced Saturday with two strikeouts, improving his spring K:BB to 9:0 in six total innings. Manager Don Mattingly has mentioned Gaudin, a non-roster invitee to camp, as a candidate for the swing-man role.

Gaudin has tossed four one-hit innings this spring with a 7:0 K:BB and could make the team in place of the injured Brandon League (shoulder), the Dodgers' official site reports. Gaudin could be targeted for a long-relief spot-starter role if he keeps this up.

Gaudin will sign with the Dodgers as a non-roster invitee, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports. Gaudin has had a history of health issues, the latest being a failed physical with the Phillies that led to his release from the club. It appears he's healthy enough to sign with the Dodgers, however, as he looks to nab a bullpen spot with the team in 2015.

Phillies released RHP Chad Gaudin. Gaudin signed a minor league contract with the Phillies in late January, but he failed his physical this week in camp and is now back on the open market. The 30-year-old right-hander posted a cool 3.06 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 97 innings last season for the Giants and should land another opportunity soon. Unless, of course, there's something seriously wrong with his throwing arm.

Chad Gaudin will receive a salary of $750,000 if he makes the major league roster with the Phillies. Gaudin signed a minor league deal with the Phillies on Tuesday. The 30-year-old had a surprisingly 3.06 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 97 innings with the Giants last season and should have a legitimate chance to make the Opening Day roster as a swingman.
