Chad Gaudin (elbow) is on track to be activated from the disabled list to start on Saturday against the Dodgers. Gaudin was cleared after throwing a bullpen session on Saturday with no issues. He's been out since June 20, when he took a comebacker off his pitching elbow.

Chad Gaudin (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Saturday. Gaudin has been shut down since last week with a right elbow contusion, but hasn't reported any setbacks. He expects to be activated from the disabled list on July 6 when first eligible.

Chad Gaudin (elbow) said Tuesday that he expects to be activated from the disabled list on July 6, the first day he's eligible. Gaudin reported big improvement with his right elbow contusion on Tuesday. With the way the Giants' schedule works out, the righty might only have to miss one turn through the rotation. Mike Kickham is starting in his place Tuesday.

Giants placed RHP Chad Gaudin on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to June 21, with a right elbow contusion. The club originally planned to wait until Tuesday to see how Gaudin felt after a game of catch Monday, but obviously they changed their mind. The right-hander shouldn't miss too much time. Mike Kickham has taken Gaudin's spot in the rotation.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Chad Gaudin (elbow) will likely be placed on the disabled list. The club will wait to see how Gaudin feels on Tuesday following a game of catch Monday before making an official decision. The righty has already been ruled out for Tuesday's start against the Dodgers. Gaudin doesn't figure to be out very long.

Chad Gaudin (elbow) is not expected to make his scheduled start on Tuesday against the Dodgers. Gaudin was able to play catch Monday, but he's yet to throw off a mound since taking a comebacker off the elbow in his last start. It doesn't sound like a disabled list situation, but Mike Kickham has joined the club in L.A. and is expected to get the ball Tuesday.

Chad Gaudin (elbow) wasn't able to play catch on Saturday and may be doubtful for his next start. Gaudin is still dealing with a bruise as a consequence of getting hit by a comebacker in his last start. The big test will be Sunday when he's scheduled to throw a bullpen. If he's unable to, the Giants will almost certainly need to find another option to make Gaudin's Tuesday start.

Chad Gaudin (elbow) is questionable for his next start Tuesday against the Dodgers. Gaudin is dealing with a bruised right elbow and will be reevaluated after a bullpen session on Sunday. X-rays ruled out structural damage, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy said he's "unsure" if Gaudin will be available.

X-rays on Chad Gaudin's right arm came back negative. Gaudin was injured in Thursday's game when a line drive caught his pitching arm. We'll have to see how he recovers over the next few days, but the right-hander seems to think he'll be fine for his next start. "It's all muscle and tissue so ... work it out, get back out there," he said.
