Cabral signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox on Wednesday, Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw, who will be 28 in February, has not had much of an opportunity to show off his stuff in the big leagues, as he's pitched just two innings in the majors over the past three seasons, including none last season. He allowed nine earned runs over just 8.1 innings at Triple-A Norfolk last season before the Orioles released him. If he even makes the team, he isn't likely to serve as anything more than organizational depth next season.

Cabral was released by the Orioles on Tuesday, according to Baseball America.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old lefty had more walks than strikeouts and a 9.72 ERA in 8.1 innings at Triple-A, so the Orioles had seen enough and cut him loose.

Cabral will begin the season in the minor leagues, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty reliever was in camp as a non-roster invitee after signing a minor league deal with Baltimore in November. Cabral will likely begin the year in Triple-A, where he spent the bulk of the 2015 season.

Cabral signed a minor league contract with the Orioles on Tuesday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty reliever's contract also comes with an invite to spring training. He debuted in the big leagues in 2013, but has pitched just 5.2 innings in the majors, posting a 6.35 ERA.

Cabral has filed for free agency, Rich Dubroff of Comcast Sports Net reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cabral made just two appearances with the Orioles this season, walking one batter in just an inning of work. While his numbers at Triple-A Norfolk (4.95 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 43:19 K:BB in 40 innings) were certainly down, he will likely get a chance to impress with another team during spring training.

Cabral has been sent to Triple-A Norfolk outright on Monday, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After appearing in just two games with the Orioles he was designated for assignment Sunday. With no other team claiming the 26-year-old, he now finds himself on the Triple-A Norfolk roster and off the 40-man roster, effectively ending his tenure with the major league club this year.

Cabral was designated for assignment by the Orioles on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Cabral didn't see much time in the majors this season, but he didn't do badly in his two appearances, throwing a scoreless inning total. He's now off the 40-man roster, likely taking him out of consideration to potentially join the Orioles' roster in September.

Cabral was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports. Cabral compiled one inning of work over two appearances with the Orioles, walking one batter and striking out another. With the Orioles selecting outfielder Nolan Reimold's contract Tuesday, Cabral will be sent back down to Triple-A, which leaves Baltimore thin on left-handed options in the bullpen.

Cabral made his Orioles debut in relief Saturday, walking one before inducing a double play in his 0.2 innings against the Indians. Cabral had not allowed a run in his 21.2 innings at Double-A and Triple-A, so why start now? Cabral's season is a bit of an enigma, as he has not had a WHIP below 1.40 in the minors since 2010, yet he has been dominant this season. Cabral could be headed back to Triple-A as soon as Sunday when Bud Norris is activated from the DL.

Cabral was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Bowie Baysox broadcaster Adam Pohl reports. Cabral joined infielder Rey Navarro in being recalled Friday, as the team freed up room on the roster by optioning Steve Clevenger and Mike Wright to Triple-A Norfolk. The 26-year-old Cabrera, who began the year at Double-A Bowie, is 2-0 and has not allowed a run this season in 21 relief appearances while striking out 25. He hasn't fared as well at the major league level, however, posting a career 7.71 ERA in 12 MLB appearances for the Yankees in 2013 and 2014.
