Cabral has signed a minor league deal with the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports. Cabral spent time at three different levels last time, and pitched one inning with the Yankees in which he allowed three runs while striking out two. He spent most of the season at Double-A Trenton, where he struggled his way to a 5.63 ERA and 1.66 WHIP over 32 innings while striking out 37. He struggled with his command last season in a big way, walking 23 over the period last season, and another two in his inning with the Yankees. He should provide the Orioles with some organizational depth in the bullpen.

Yankees designated LHP Cesar Cabral for assignment. Not an unsurprising move after completely losing his control and hitting three batters in the eighth inning of Friday's loss to the Rays. While it's possible he'll generate some interest on waivers, the most likely scenario is that he returns to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre where he'll attempt to get back on track.

Yankees recalled LHP Cesar Cabral from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He'll take the place of the injured David Robertson (groin) on the active roster. Cabral appeared in eight games with the big club last season and had a 5.40 ERA with 43 strikeouts over 36 2/3 innings in the minors.

Yankees optioned LHP Cesar Cabral from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 25-year-old southpaw was outstanding in Grapefruit League play, hurling 9 1/3 scoreless innings while compiling a 10/6 K/BB ratio. Even so, he lost out to Vidal Nuno for the final spot in the Opening Day bullpen somehow. He'll get another shot with the Yankees at some point early in the 2014 season no doubt.

Yankees outrighted LHP Cesar Cabral to Double-A Trenton. The move was made to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Chris Bootcheck. The 24-year-old southpaw missed the entire 2012 season with a stress fracture in his elbow, and has struggled this season, posting a 6.75 ERA and 2.08 WHIP through his first 12 innings in the minors.

Cesar Cabral (elbow) threw a scoreless inning Wednesday in an extended spring training game. Cabral worked around a single by Delmon Young to complete the frame. The 24-year-old left-hander missed all of 2012 with a stress fracture in his elbow. It's not clear when he'll begin an official minor league rehab assignment.

Yankees placed LHP Cesar Cabral on the 60-day disabled list with an elbow injury. The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the newly-claimed Dan Otero. The 24-year-old left-hander missed all of 2012 with a stress fracture in his elbow and isn't expected to pitch in games until May.

Cesar Cabral (elbow) isn't expected to be ready to pitch in games until May. Cabral missed all of 2012 with a stress fracture in his left elbow, and he obviously still isn't 100 percent. The positive with the injury is that the Yankees will be able to bring the Rule 5 pick along slowly with minor league rehab games.
