Carlos Quentin left Tuesday's game against the Reds after tweaking his right knee. It was reported that Quentin was scratched from Monday's lineup after tweaking his left knee, but it's actually his surgically-repaired right knee that's been giving him problems all along. He won't play Wednesday and the Padres have a scheduled day off on Thursday, so the hope is he'll be ready to go on Friday.

Carlos Quentin was a late scratch from Monday's lineup after tweaking his left knee. There was immediately some trade speculation after Quentin was scratched, but he's just dealing with his usual bout of achy knees. He should be considered day-to-day. Mark Kotsay is in left field Monday.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that Carlos Quentin has been "talked about internally" by the Orioles. The Orioles appear intent on adding a notable bat to fill their designated hitter slot. Quentin is having a nice year for the Padres, batting .278/.366/.500 with 13 homers and 44 RBI. He's owed about $24 million through the 2015 season and has a $10 million mutual option for 2016.

Carlos Quentin went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, three RBI, a walk and a run scored in a 10-8 win over the Brewers on Thursday. Quentin had a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning and a two-run homer in the third. The 30-year-old outfielder is now batting .278/.366/.502 with 13 home runs through 78 games this season. He's a poor bet to stay healthy, but should be relevant in mixed fantasy leagues as long as he can stay on the field.

Carlos Quentin (wrist) is back in Wednesday's lineup against the Brewers. Quentin sat out Tuesday's game with a sore right wrist, but it's not a major concern. He's hitting third against Kyle Lohse.

Carlos Quentin is not in the Padres' lineup Tuesday due to a sore right wrist. It's not viewed as a serious ailment, so Quentin can safely be considered day-to-day. Mark Kotsay is handling left field in his place Tuesday.

Carlos Quentin finished 2-for-4 with an RBI double Thursday against the Giants. Quentin was hitting .169 as recently as May 8, but he has recently turned his season around over the past two months, batting .321 with nine home runs and 24 RBI over his last 46 games. The 30-year-old figures to suffer another injury at some point, but his contributions are being overlooked in many fantasy leagues right now.

Carlos Quentin hit a pinch-hit, two-run homer in Sunday's loss to the Marlins. Quentin didn't get the start, but he plated the Padres' only runs by ripping a Chad Qualls hanging slider off the top and over the left-center field wall. It was Quentin's ninth homer this season even though he's only been healthy enough for 185 at-bats.

Carlos Quentin is not in the Padres' lineup Sunday. There's been no indication that he aggravated his left shoulder injury, so we'll assume it's just a day of rest. Mark Kotsay is starting in left field Sunday.
