Correa (heel) has gone 6-for-15 with three RBI since returning to Triple-A Fresno's lineup four games ago. Correa was rested Monday due to a sore right heel, but it proved to be only a minor issue. The 20-year-old has upped his line at Fresno to .266/.336/.447 and could be knocking on the door for a midsummer promotion to the big leagues.

Correa was held out of the lineup at Triple-A Fresno on Monday due to a sore right heel, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports. GM Jeff Luhnow quickly dismissed any concern that Correa's injury was related to the fractured fibula he suffered last June, so for the moment, the Astros' top prospect just looks to be day-to-day. The 20-year-old hasn't been dominating Triple-A pitching since his May 11 promotion to Fresno (.241/.307/.430 batting line over 88 plate appearances), but if his numbers begin to improve upon his eventual return to the lineup, his big-league debut could arrive at some point this summer.

Correa, 20, is batting .270/.347/.476 with three home runs, eight RBI and three steals through 15 games for Triple-A Fresno. Correa's overall numbers in 2015 are still gaudy, but he is batting just .225 over his last 10 games at Triple-A, so perhaps the pressure to promote him immediately to the bigs will subside for now.

Correa recorded three hits, including two doubles, for Triple-A Fresno on Saturday night. The move to Triple-A hasn't proven to be a challenging one thus far for Correa, who is batting .348 over five games since his promotion. If he continues to excel, it wouldn't be surprising if Correa earned a call-up to the big club within a couple of weeks.

Correa was named Texas League Player of the Week for the second time this year after hitting .429 (12-for-28) with three doubles, a triple, two home runs, 10 RBI and five steals in seven games last week. Correa will report to Triple-A Fresno on Tuesday, but his stay in the Pacific Coast League may be short-lived if Marwin Gonzalez and Jonathan Villar continue to struggle offensively for the Astros in the absence of Jed Lowrie (thumb).

The Astros promoted Correa to Triple-A Fresno on Monday. Correa earned his first trip to the Triple-A level by posting a .385/.459/.726 slash line to go along with seven home runs, 15 doubles, and 32 RBI in 29 games with Double-A Corpus Christi. If he continues to crush the ball, he may remain with Fresno only until the Astros are comfortable he will not attain Super Two status -- and maybe not even that long.

Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow acknowledged Monday that Correa will likely reach Triple-A Fresno this month, Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports. The anticipated promotion is obvious considering how well Correa has been hitting. Through 24 games for Double-A Corpus Christi, the 20-year-old shortstop is hitting .398/.468/.735 with six home runs, 28 RBI and 13 stolen bases. Luhnow said he wants Correa to face Texas League pitching more than once, however, to see how he fares against presumably modified game plans. While many would argue that the reigning Texas League Player of the Week could help Houston now with Jed Lowrie (thumb) sidelined through the All-Star break, Luhnow will stick with Marwin Gonzalez at Jonathan Villar for the time being. "If we don't feel like we're getting the production out of that spot, out of that position on the infield and (Jed) Lowrie's still a ways away and we feel like Carlos gives us the best chance to win games," Luhnow said, "that's a scenario that leads to him potentially being here sooner than anticipated."

Correa was named Texas League Player of the Week after hitting .435 (10-for-23) with eight runs, two doubles, three home runs and seven RBI in five games last week, Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle reports. Believe it or not, Correa couldn't remember winning a Player of the Week award at any level before the Texas League named him this past week's winner Monday. "I'm very proud," Correa said after receiving the honor. "It means a lot to me to be the first one and for it to be in the Texas League. They say it's a tough league, one of the toughest minor leagues, so it's very humbling." Entering Tuesday, the 20-year-old shortstop is hitting .382 while leading the Texas League in doubles (10), RBI (21), slugging percentage (.735), extra-base hits (15), runs (16) and total bases (50).

Correa, 20, is batting .356/.415/.661 with three home runs, 16 RBI and two stolen bases through 14 games for Double-A Corpus Christi. If we're being picky, Correa has struck out 15 times in 14 games. However, he has been tearing the cover off the ball, and along with Corey Seager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, is arguably the top hitting prospect in baseball.

Correa is 10-for-29 (.345) with one home run, 10 RBI and one steal through seven games for Double-A Corpus Christi. Correa remains one of the best prospects in the game, and has shown no rust following last season's gruesome ankle injury.
