Carrasco (2-3) yielded four runs on six hits and two walks in 6.2 innings Sunday, taking the loss against Houston. He gave up a home run and struck out eight batters.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco completed dominated the Astros through six innings, allowing just one hit and no runs. He then got drilled for four runs -- including a three-run homer -- in the seventh inning. He actually lowered his ERA to 5.86 in 27.2 innings on the year. He'll look to get back in the win column against Seattle on Sunday.

Carrasco was diagnosed with a bruised left knee after exiting his start Tuesday against the Marlins and is expected to make his next scheduled turn Sunday in Houston, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco looked like he might have sustained a serious injury when he stumbled while attempting to reel in an off-target throw to first base in the fourth inning of Tuesday's start. Though the right-hander was able to stay in the game to finish out the inning, he limped to the dugout after completing the frame and was pulled from the contest. Fortunately, an MRI conducted after the game cleared him of any structural damage, so Carrasco should be good to go for the weekend if he's able to complete his usual between-starts bullpen session without incident.

Carrasco will undergo a MRI on his left knee after leaving Tuesday's game against the Marlins, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco exited Tuesday's game after he collided with a baserunner while covering first base. The 32-year-old completed the inning, but apparently the knee tightened up between innings, leading to his removal. More information should be available on the injury Wednesday.

Carrasco left Tuesday's game against the Marlins with left knee discomfort after a collision at first base, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco came up limping after colliding with Neil Walker when covering first base during the fourth inning. The 32-year-old tested out the knee and finished the inning, but did not return for the fifth. It remains unclear how the injury will impact Carrasco's availability for his next turn through the rotation.

Carrasco (2-2) picked up the win Wednesday, giving up three hits and two walks over seven scoreless inning while striking out 12 as Cleveland downed Seattle 1-0.
EDGE Analysis
Afternoon shadows didn't help the batters for either team -- there were only six total hits in the game -- and Carrasco took full advantage, racking up a whopping 23 swinging strikes among his 108 pitches (72 total strikes). Even after the stellar outing the right-hander still carries a 7.41 ERA, but his 29:5 K:BB through 17 innings offers a much more encouraging prognosis on his performance so far. Carrasco could be lined up for another impressive start Tuesday, when he takes on Marlins at home.

Carrasco (1-2) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on six hits and a walk while recording only two outs -- one via strikeout -- as Cleveland fell 8-1 to the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Nothing was working for the right-hander, who didn't even get his first out -- a sacrifice fly by Lucas Duca -- until it was already 4-0. Carrasco allowed the Royals to hit for the cycle in his eight batters, with Alex Gordon's two-run homer being the biggest blow, and the outing sent his ERA soaring to 12.60. Carrasco will start trying to dig himself out of that hole Wednesday in Seattle.

Carrasco (1-1) allowed two runs on six hits and struck out 12 with one walk during a victory against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 32-year-old gave up 10 hits in his season debut, but still struck out four across 4.1 innings. On Saturday, Carrasco allowed some traffic but not as much and worked around jams with 24 called strikes. Carrasco has posted a K/9 above 10.0 in three of the last four years, so it wouldn't at all be a surprise to see him around that number again in 2019. He is 1-1 with a 7.71 ERA, 1.93 WHIP and 16 strikeouts in 9.1 innings over two outings. His next start should come against the Royals next week.

Carrasco (0-1) took the loss after surrendering six runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out four over 4.1 innings Sunday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Carrasco allowed a run in the second, another in the fourth and four more in the fifth before being yanked from his 2019 debut. He pounded the strike zone throughout the game, hurling 45 of 65 pitches for strikes, but he evidently caught too much of the plate at times. Carrasco will aim for a better result in his next start, which is slated for Saturday against Toronto.

Carrasco covered 4.2 innings Friday in the Indians' 5-2 exhibition loss to the Rangers, surrendering three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Making his second start of the spring, Carrasco breezed through three scoreless innings before meeting some resistance in the fourth. Carrasco allowed four base hits in five-batter stretch during that inning, but was at least able to regroup and retire the final three hitters he faced on the day. He'll likely make one or two more starts this spring before likely slotting in as the Tribe's No. 3 starter when the regular season arrives.

The Indians signed Carrasco to a contract extension through 2022 on Thursday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Indians exercised Carrasco's $10.25 million club option for 2020 before inking him to a two-year extension, which includes a vesting option for 2023. The 31-year-old righty has been a crucial rotation member for the Indians over the past four seasons, posting a combined 3.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 10.3 K/9 and 2.1 BB/9 over that stretch (722 innings).
