Maybin was removed from Sunday's rehab game at Triple-A Toledo after he was hit by a pitch on the wrist, Katie Strang of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin was reaching the final stages of his recovery from a non-displaced hairline fracture in his left wrist, but Sunday's development throws a wrench into those plans. After a battery of tests is undertaken, the Tigers' organization will likely deduce whether this is in fact a setback.

Manager Brad Ausmus said Monday that the Tigers are still targeting a mid-April return to the big league club for Maybin (wrist), Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin began a rehab assignment last week and has not suffered any setback of sort, so the Tigers are still hoping to get him back at some point around the middle of this month. After playing four games with High-A Lake Elsinore, Maybin will move his rehab work to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, and he could need just a few more games before he is ready to go.

Maybin (wrist) began a rehab assignment with High-A Lakeland on Thursday, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin went 0-for-2 with a walk in Thursday's game with Lakeland. It's not clear how long he will remain in the minors, but he missed nearly all of spring training with a broken bone in his wrist, so the Tigers may let him use most of the maximum 15 days allowed per his rehab assignment.

Maybin (wrist) was placed on the 15-day DL on Sunday, MLive.com's Chris Iott reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin has resumed hitting after fracturing his wrist early in spring training, but because he missed nearly all of camp, he'll need to get several games under his belt as part of a rehab assignment before he's activated. In the meantime, the Tigers figure to go with Anthony Gose as their primary center fielder.

Maybin (wrist) will get at-bats in a minor league game Friday, MLive's Chris Iott reports.
EDGE Analysis
He needs roughly 40 at-bats on his rehab assignment before he will be ready to rejoin the big league club, per manager Brad Ausmus. This suggests Maybin could be ready to join the Tigers in mid-to-late April. Anthony Gose will handle center field and hit at the bottom of the order in the meantime.

Maybin (wrist) took batting practice Thursday for the first time since breaking his wrist in the Tigers' first spring training game, Chris Iott of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a big step in the right direction for Maybin after he was unfortunate enough to take a pitch off the wrist in one of his very first at-bats of spring. He resumed taking swings earlier in the week and has since progressed to taking batting practice. Manager Brad Ausmus estimated that Maybin will need roughly 40 at-bats during a rehab assignment before he's ready to rejoin the big league club. According to Iott, Maybin could start playing in minor league games in the coming days.

Maybin (wrist) has been taking swings, MLive's Chris Iott reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin was given a timetable of four-to-six weeks when he fractured his left wrist in early March. He still won't be ready for Opening Day, but he could be available before the end of April, as there's been nothing to suggest that he's behind schedule. Having missed nearly all of spring training, Maybin won't necessarily join the big-league club as soon as he's healthy enough to do so.

Manager Brad Ausmus said Saturday that Maybin (wrist) is unlikely to be ready for Opening Day, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ausmus' statement doesn't come as a huge surprise given that Maybin fractured his wrist very early in spring training. However, it does confirm that the Tigers will likely have to start Anthony Gose in center field for the start of the season and possibly carry another outfielder on the 25-man roster when camp breaks.

Maybin (wrist) will be out for four to six weeks with a non-displaced hairline fracture in his left wrist, Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin left Wednesday's game in the third inning after being hit in the wrist with a fastball from Luis Severino, and it appears that the injury is much more serious than initially thought. The timetable provided also is very troubling, as he could miss Opening Day if his return is closer to six weeks away. The exact date of return will likely come as he is able to rehab his wrist. Either way, this is a big blow to the Tigers, although it will give Anthony Gose the starting center field job for the time being.

Maybin left Wednesday's game in the second inning with a left wrist contusion.
EDGE Analysis
Maybin already was already dealing with a small shoulder issue that forced him to be the designated hitter early on in spring training, but now he has another ailment. He was hit on the wrist with a Luis Severino fastball in the second inning, but stayed in the game initially before being removed for a pinch hitter in the third. It's unclear how severe the injury is, but we'll likely hear more about Maybin's status after the game concludes.
