Quantrill (6-3) went 6.2 innings Wednesday, allowing three unearned runs on two hits and three walks to earn the win against Minnesota. He had four strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old put together six scoreless frames before giving up a three-run homer to Miguel Sano in the seventh. The runs were all unearned, however, due to a Bobby Bradley fielding error two batters earlier that had extended the inning. It was the second straight quality start and second win in a row for Quantrill, who has put together a 2.89 ERA and 110:45 K:BB in 137 innings this season. He's lined up to face the Royals at home in his next scheduled start.

Quantrill (5-3) held the Twins to one run on four hits and two walks over 7.2 innings to earn the win Thursday. He also had five strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Quantrill bounced back nicely from Friday's poor outing, limiting Minnesota to a Miguel Sano solo homer in the second frame. He managed to pitch into the eighth inning for the first time this season before being lifted with his pitch count at a season-high 109. The 26-year-old Quantrill owns a 3.04 ERA and 106:42 K:BB in 130.1 innings heading into his next start, scheduled to come on the road next week in a rematch with the Twins.

Quantrill (4-3) allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in six-plus innings, taking the loss Friday versus Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander yielded three solo shots in the first four innings, making Friday the first time he's allowed multiple homers since July 10. Quantrill stayed in to begin the seventh inning, but he allowed the first two runners to reach base, and Trevor Stephan failed to work out of the jam. Quantrill has pitched well enough since the All-Star break to consider this a minor hiccup. He has a 3.15 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 101:40 K:BB through 122.2 innings overall. He's projected for a more favorable home matchup versus Minnesota next week.

Quantrill didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Red Sox after allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks while fanning six across seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Quantrill posted a second straight quality start, and the right-hander has been pitching extremely well of late. He has given up two or fewer earned runs in eight of his last nine outings while posting a 52:18 K:BB through 55 innings in that stretch.

Quantrill (4-2) won Sunday's 3-0 shutout of the Angels, permitting two hits and two walks with nine strikeouts in seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Quantrill dominated Los Angeles all game and limited rallies to the first and third innings, retiring the final 13 batters he faced. Even more impressive, the young righty fell one strikeout short of his season high and required just 94 pitches to navigate seven innings. Quantrill has lived up to his first-round draft slot in August, compiling a 1.45 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 34:10 K:BB in five starts, and is slated to make one more turn over the weekend against Boston.

Quantrill allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings in Monday's loss to the Twins. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Quantrill began the game by serving up a leadoff shot to Max Kepler, the first homer he's allowed since July 27. He later allowed a run in each of the third and fourth innings. It was the first time in seven starts that he allowed more than two runs and his ERA rose slightly to 3.24. The 6-foot-3 righty owns a 1.76 ERA and a 37:14 K:BB over his last seven outings. Quantrill is projected to face the Angels at home this weekend.

Quantrill allowed two runs on three hits and three walks in six innings of a no-decision Wednesday against Oakland. He had five strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Quantrill turned a 2-0 lead over to the Cleveland bullpen in the seventh inning, but Oakland rallied with a pair of runs to tie the game and hand Quantrill his fourth no-decision in his last five starts. Still, it was another effective outing for the 26-year-old, who has held his opponents to three runs or fewer in eight consecutive starts dating back to the beginning of July. Quantrill is 3-2 in 32 appearances (14 starts) overall this season, producing a 3.13 ERA in 97.2 innings of work. Twenty-one of his 76 strikeouts have come over his last three outings.

Quantrill (3-2) picked up the win in Friday's 6-1 victory over the Tigers, scattering four hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out a career-high 10 without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
He retired 15 straight batters at one point, and Detroit only managed to get one runner into scoring position against Quantrill. While the quality of the opposition has to be taken into consideration with Friday's outstanding performance, there's no denying Quantrill has turned a corner. The right-hander has reeled off four straight quality starts, and since the beginning of July he sports a 1.96 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 41.1 innings.

Quantrill worked through four scoreless innings before plunking Jose Abreu with the bases loaded in the fifth. It was his fourth consecutive start going at least five innings while allowing fewer than two runs, lowering his season ERA to 3.40 through 84.2 frames. Quantrill allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out five in six innings in a no-decision versus St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
For the third straight start, Quantrill was able to limit the opposition to one run. The right-hander has settled into a nice groove since the All-Star break as he's been needed to address an injury-riddled Cleveland rotation. For the year, he owns a 3.66 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 55:26 K:BB through 78.2 innings. He'll take a 2-2 record into his next start, tentatively set for this weekend versus the White Sox.
