Brian Roberts is headed to the paternity leave list. Roberts will soon welcome his first child. He will probably be away from the Orioles for three days.

Brian Roberts hit his second homer of the season Thursday versus the Rangers. Roberts has driven in runs in four straight games, though given that he's just 3-for-13 in that span, it wouldn't be appropriate to say it's a hot streak. The Orioles figure to continue batting him low in the order for the foreseeable future.

Brian Roberts went 1-for-4 with his first home run of the season in the Orioles' loss on Tuesday. Roberts showed off by taking fellow left-hander John Danks deep in the third inning, his first home run since 2011. Now healthy -- emphasis on "now" -- Roberts is the Orioles' primary second base option and, despite offering little-to-no pop, has legitimate speed and on-base ability.

Orioles activated 2B Brian Roberts from the 60-day disabled list. Roberts has been out since early April following hamstring surgery, but he's ready to give it a go again after getting through four rehab games with no issues. The veteran second baseman had five hits in his first 12 at-bats before getting hurt and is worth using in fantasy leagues as long as he can manage to stay healthy.

Brian Roberts (hamstring) will be activated from the disabled list Sunday Roberts, out since early April, was cleared after a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk this week. While he can't be trusted to stay healthy, Roberts will provide an immediate upgrade at second base for the Orioles.

Brian Roberts (hamstring) likely won't be activated from the disabled list until Sunday. Roberts had been expected to return on Friday, but the Orioles want him to play a couple more rehab games. The veteran second baseman has been sidelined since early April following hamstring surgery.

Brian Roberts (hamstring) is expected to be activated from this disabled list for this weekend's series against the Yankees. Roberts, who is coming back from hamstring surgery, went 2-for-4 with a double in his first rehab game Tuesday and walked twice in a suspended game on Wednesday night. Orioles manager Buck Showalter said he'll be the regular second baseman upon his return, so while he can't be trusted to stay healthy, he should be relevant in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues.

Brian Roberts (hamstring) went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored Tuesday in his first rehab game with Triple-A Norfolk. It was his first game action since hamstring surgery in early May. Roberts is expected to play at least three rehab games, but he could be back with the Orioles within the next week. The 35-year-old could be an upgrade at second base for Baltimore, but it's tough to count on him in fantasy leagues.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Monday that Brian Roberts (hamstring) will play at least three minor league rehab games. Roberts is scheduled to begin his rehab stint Tuesday night with Triple-A Norfolk. The Orioles will likely want to see him play on back-to-back days before bringing him back, but it sounds like he could rejoin the Orioles before the end of the week if all goes well. The 35-year-old is currently making his way back from hamstring surgery.

Brian Roberts (hamstring) told reporters Sunday that he doesn't want to be at Triple-A Norfolk for long. Roberts will begin playing in rehab games with the Norfolk Tides on Tuesday, and it sounds like he's aiming to be activated by the end of this week. "To be brutally honest, I don't want to be there long," said the veteran second baseman. "As soon as I'm ready I'm going to call them and say I'm good. I don't know if that's three days or 10 days, but hopefully not the latter." He's about six weeks removed from hamstring surgery.
