Braves placed C Brian McCann on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique. McCann suffered the injury on a throw to second base in the 10th inning of Tuesday's game. It's a big loss for the Braves, but David Ross should be able to do an adequate job behind the plate in the short-term. Carlos Beltran and Colby Rasmus are all but off the table at this point, but the Braves could now increase their efforts to land a bat before the deadline.
