Dozier is 8-for-20 (.400) with five extra-base hits through seven games in spring training.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier was one of the best second basemen in the league in the first half of last season, but had a surprisingly mediocre second half that had everyone scratching their heads. His hot spring training start seems to point to him starting the season similar to last season, making him a valuable second baseman.

Dozier will not need surgery after an MRI showed no structural damage in his hip, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a great first half of the season in which Dozier posted a .328 on-base percentage and .513 slugging percentage, the second baseman struggled mightily after the All-Star break as he watched his OBP fall to .280 and his slugging percentage to a lowly .359. This dramatic turn prompted some analysts to suggest the 28-year-old might have been injured, but the MRI didn't appear to hint at any sort of severe injury. Dozier should be considered one of the better fantasy second basemen heading into next year and should be fully healthy heading into spring training.

Dozier will have a MRI completed on his hip, Phil Miller of the Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is a surprising development considering Minnesota never hinted at a possible Dozier injury. That being said, no offseason surgeries have been scheduled for any Twins' players according to MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger meaning the MRI is probably just a precautionary measure. While more information should be available in the coming weeks, it's likely the slugging second baseman should be ready to go for spring training in 2016.

Dozier will take a day off Sunday as the Twins rest many of their everyday guys. Eduardo Escobar will receive the start in his place, batting seventh for the Twins.

Dozier went 1-for-4 with a solo homer in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
The long ball was Dozier's first career opposite field home run, and just his second homer since Aug. 25. Fantasy owners have received a significant decrease in production from Dozier over the second half, as the second baseman has hit 19 of his 28 home runs in the first half of the season.

Dozier is not in Sunday's lineup against the Angels, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier played both games of a doubleheader Saturday, so we can assume this is only a day of rest. Eduardo Escobar will get the start at second base.

Dozier went 2-for-4 with two doubles in a 4-1 loss to the Astros on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Dozier had a modest seven-game hitting streak snapped Friday, but Saturday marked the 20th game in which he reached based safely in August. However, Dozier has undeniably struggled with the bat since July 1, with the 28-year-old second baseman hitting only .211 (43-for-204) during that span. While his career-high 26 homers have certainly been a highlight, Dozier's consistency at the plate undoubtedly has room for improvement.

Dozier went 2-for-5 with a walk-off home run, his 19th and his second walk-off home run of the season, in Friday's win over Detroit.
Dozier's home run capped off an improbable comeback for the Twins who were down five runs heading into the ninth inning. It also marked his second walk-off home run in the past week. Dozier lost out on the final vote for a spot on the AL All Star team, but he's having an impressive season as he's just four home runs from tying his career high (23 in 2014).

Dozier filled up the scorecard, going 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a pair of stolen bases in Minnesota's win over the Orioles on Wednesday afternoon.
It's just the kind of performance Dozier owners have come to appreciate. He now has 18 home runs, 45 RBI, and nine stolen bases to compliment a respectable .260 average.

Dozier went 2-for-4 with a double, a steal and two runs scored in a 7-2 win over the Cubs on Friday.
Dozier entered Friday's game in a bit of slump, as he only had one multi-hit game in the prior 11 contests. He responded by being aggressive early in the count in this one, and it paid off. The 28-year-old won't help fantasy teams in batting average, but he's been an asset in all the other offensive categories, as usual, and he's stolen two bases in the last four games after swiping just three in the first 62.
