Nimmo exited Thursday's game against the Phillies with an apparent injury to his left hand, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo appeared to suffer the injury after getting hit by a pitch on the hand in the third inning, though it was technically ruled a groundout. Specifics regarding the injury should come forth once he's further evaluated following the conclusion of Thursday's game. Jose Bautista replaced him.

Nimmo went 5-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, three RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo was dialed in all night, reaching base in all six of his plate appearances -- getting hit by a pitch in the seventh inning -- and falling just a homer short of the cycle. The 25-year-old outfielder has now collected nine hits over the last three games and is hitting a solid .333/.429/.688 with two homers and one stolen base through 14 games in August.

Nimmo went deep in the seventh inning to push the Mets' lead to three runs. The 25-year-old outfielder has gone 8-for-32 with six extra-base hits, four RBI and six walks over his previous 10 tilts, and he's slashing .249/.373/.476 with an .850 OPS through 107 games this season.

Nimmo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the 4-2 loss to Atlanta on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo has just two home runs since the start of July, dropping his batting average from .270 to .248 during that span. He took Atlanta starter Mike Foltynewicz deep in the first inning and the Mets couldn't muster up much more on the evening. Nimmo currently owns a career-high .848 OPS in 363 plate appearances.

Nimmo went 3-for-4 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old had been hitting only .191 (13-for-68) in July coming into Friday's game, so this performance is definitely encouraging. Despite his recent swoon, Nimmo is still enjoying a breakout campaign, slashing .258/.386/.488 through 92 games with 13 homers and seven steals, and with Yoenis Cespedes (heel) officially done for the rest of the year, Nimmo should remain a fixture in the Mets' lineup.

Nimmo will hit seventh and play center field Wednesday against the Padres, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Amed Rosario will replace Nimmo in the leadoff spot for the third game in a row, all of which have come against left-handed pitching. The lefty-hitting Nimmo should continue setting the table for the Mets versus right-handers, but the 25-year-old is beginning to lose some steam from his hot start to the season. Nimmo is slashing a lowly .169/.319/.247 over the past month.

Nimmo is out of the lineup against the Phillies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo will retreat to the bench for a rare day off following 12 straight starts. Over those contests, he's hit a poor .136 with 19 strikeouts. In his absence, Matt den Dekker will man center field after getting his contract selected by New York prior to the series finale.

Nimmo (finger) returns to the starting lineup Wednesday against the Pirates, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Nimmo missed a pair of starts after getting hit in the right pinky by a pitch Sunday. He was able to pinch hit Tuesday and will be a full participant in Wednesday's game, leading off and playing center field.
