Miller (shoulder) joined up with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday and is scheduled to make his season debut there Friday, Alex Freedman of OKC Dodgers Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller got off to a bit of a late start this year after developing some minor right shoulder soreness toward the end of spring training. The 24-year-old can now continue his ascent through the Dodgers' minor-league system and could very well reach the majors at some point in 2023. He struck out 145 batters in 112.1 innings in 2022 in stints at the Double-A and Triple-A levels.

Miller (shoulder) threw a simulated inning this past Saturday at the Dodgers' spring training complex in Arizona, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller came down with some minor shoulder soreness toward the end of camp, but he's now on a build-up program that should allow him to join Triple-A Oklahoma City within the next few weeks. The 23-year-old top pitching prospect seems likely to make his MLB debut at some point during the 2023 season, assuming good health.

Miller will be sidelined to start the minor-league season due to mild shoulder soreness, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller is in line to make his MLB debut this season if he can pitch well at Triple-A and stay healthy, but he's already dealing with a shoulder issue to start the season. After a dominant spring training on the heels of a spectacular 2022 season, Gavin Stone is looking like the more likely premium Dodgers pitching prospect to join the big-league rotation this summer.

Miller was reassigned Monday to minor-league camp by the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Miller is one of the top pitching prospects in the system, and does have a chance to make starts for the Dodgers in 2023. The right-hander registered a 145:37 K:BB along with a 4.25 ERA over 112.1 innings accumulated in 24 appearances -- 23 starts -- with Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Miller is not expected to pitch in any Cactus League games this spring, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller upped his workload significantly in the minors last season, so the Dodgers are slow-playing him this spring. He remains one of the team's better prospects and should push to debut at some point in 2023.

Miller took the loss for Triple-A Oklahoma City against Round Rock on Thursday, but he struck out 14 batters while allowing two runs on two hits and a walk over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Miller was electric in the outing, recording a professional career high with 14 punchouts. He finished the start with eight consecutive strikeouts but got no offensive support and was saddled with the loss. Miller has been impressive through three Triple-A appearances, posting a 3.38 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 24:3 K:BB over 18.2 innings.

The Dodgers promoted Miller from Double-A Tulsa to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday, Kyle Glaser of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
As he makes the jump to Triple-A, Miller will presumably take over the spot in the rotation that had belonged to the rehabbing Dustin May (elbow), who is on track to return from the 60-day injured list to rejoin the Dodgers this weekend for his 2022 MLB debut. Miller generated a 4.45 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in his 20 outings (19 starts) at Tulsa this season, but he was especially dominant over his final seven appearances with the affiliate. In 34.1 innings, he produced a 3.67 ERA and 1.08 WHIP while striking out 54 and issuing just 10 walks.

Miller gave up six runs (five earned) in just 1.1 innings in his most recent start for Double-A Tulsa, and he currently owns a 4.87 ERA and 1.27 WHIP on the season.
EDGE Analysis
Miller's strikeout numbers (11.3 K/9) and FIP (3.01) look good, but his results have been mighty inconsistent. In the start before that blowup, he struck out 11 over six strong innings -- and in the start before that, he struck out just two and didn't make it out of the third inning. That start-to-start volatility hints at considerable risk for fantasy purposes, but looking at the profile more broadly, Miller's ability to miss bats and keep the ball in the yard (just seven homers in 77.2 innings) offers a lot of promise. He's also still fairly inexperienced despite being 23 years old, having only thrown 134 minor-league frames across two seasons after COVID washed out his draft season in 2020.

Miller has a 4.38 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 40:11 K:BB through nine starts (37 innings) for Double-A Tulsa.
EDGE Analysis
He's suffered from some bad luck, as Miller's FIP sits at a friendlier 3.37. The 23-year-old has done a good job missing bats and keeping the ball on the ground, and he has a workhorse's build at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. The Dodgers have been taking the training wheels off him recently, as his last two outings have been his two longest of the year (six and 5.2 innings, respectively). Having impressed in spring training and now in the minors, he's on the radar for a call-up to the big leagues, but that's still probably a little ways off, as he's not yet on the 40-man roster and the Dodgers don't currently have any rotation openings.

Miller pitched three scoreless innings in an exhibition contest against the Angels on Tuesday, allowing one hit and two walks while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Miller set the tone for the evening when he began the game by striking out reigning AL MVP Shohei Ohtani on a 100-mph four-seam fastball. The right-handed hurler routinely touched triple-digits throughout the appearance, and he averaged 99.3 mph on his fastball overall, per Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times. Miller will open the campaign with Double-A Tulsa, and he could make his big-league debut at some point this season if he continues to fare well against minor-leaguers.
