Paulsen went 3-for-5 in Monday's win over the Rockies, finishing a home run shy of the cycle while coming around to score all three times he reached base.
After sitting out the past two games to make way for Wilin Rosario at first base, Paulsen reentered the lineup with a right-hander on the mound in John Lackey. As the left-handed batter, Paulsen figures to occupy the larger half of the timeshare at first base until Justin Morneau returns, and carries of plenty of fantasy intrigue while he retains that role. He's slashing a magnificent .339/.388/.645 with four homers, nine RBI, and 12 runs over 67 plate appearances.

Paulsen is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Paulsen will find himself on the bench for a second straight game as manager Walt Weiss looks to ride the hot bat of Wilin Rosario, who homered twice Saturday. Rosario has historically struggled against right-handers, so if he reverts back to form Sunday against Marlins starter Jose Urena, look for Paulsen to quickly reclaim the larger portion of the timeshare at first base when the Rockies kick off their series with the Cardinals on Monday.

Paulsen is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Paulsen will turn first base over to Wilin Rosario after starting four consecutive games. In addition to impressive power numbers (four homers, .291 ISO), Paulsen has also displayed much-improved plate discipline in his time with Colorado this season (60 PA), striking out at just a 16.7 percent clip while walking 8.3 percent of the time.

Paulsen went 3-for-8 with a home run, double, and three runs scored across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Dodgers.
Paulsen was held out of the lineup for Monday's series opener due to a migraine, but the issue is obviously no longer a concern, as he played all 18 innings Tuesday. The 27-year-old has probably earned a permanent stay with the Rockies even after Justin Morneau (concussion) returns from the DL, as he's sitting on a career line of .333/.378/.622 across 119 plate appearances.

Paulsen (head) is in the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.
Paulsen left Sunday's game against the Phillies with a migraine, and then missed Monday's game against the Dodgers. The issue apparently isn't too serious, as he's back in the lineup Tuesday afternoon, batting fifth and starting at first base.

Paulsen (head) is out of the lineup Monday against the Dodgers, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.
Paulsen exited Sunday's game due to migraine issues, and it appears the combination of that and the left-handed Clayton Kershaw will hold him out of the lineup Monday as well. Wilin Rosario replace him at first base again Monday, batting fifth.

Paulsen was pulled from Sunday's game against the Phillies after suffering from a migraine, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
Brandon Barnes came on to replace Paulsen in left field. The issue doesn't sound particularly serious, so there's a decent chance that Paulsen will be good to go for Monday's series opener with the Dodgers.

Paulsen went 1-for-4 Saturday with a solo shot, his third home run of the season.
He's now slashing .359/.419/.667 through his first 12 games since being called up, and with Justin Morneau sidelined indefinitely due to another concussion, Paulsen is in line for regular playing time and considerable value in the short term.

Paulsen smacked a pinch-hit two-run homer in Friday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.
With lefty Cole Hamels on the mound for the Phillies, Paulsen was bypassed for the start at first base in favor of Wilin Rosario, who typically does his best work against southpaws. However, it was Paulsen who ended up with the better night, as he took righty reliever Luis Garcia to give the Rockies some needed cushion heading into the bottom of the ninth. Right-hander Aaron Harang will take the hill for the Phillies on Saturday, so expect Paulsen to get back in the lineup at either first base or in left field.

Paulsen started both games of Saturday's doubleheader against the Giants, producing three hits -- including his first homer of the season -- to go along with two RBI and three runs on the day.
It seems manager Walt Weiss has settled on Paulsen as the primary replacement for Corey Dickerson in the corner outfield, a role that should give him value in NL-only and deeper mixed leagues. Paulsen has already recorded eight hits in 18 at-bats, and it looks like he'll be a strong source in the batting average department for as long as he remains in a regular role. The 27-year-old demonstrated his contact skills over 63 at-bats with the Rockies a season ago, hitting .317 with four homers and 10 RBI.
