Paulsen is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Paulsen made back-to-back starts at first base after getting called up, but he'll be given the day off Sunday, allowing Ryan Raburn to pick up the start. The first base job should be Paulsen's to lose for the next 4-to-8 weeks, but he's not off to a great start, going 0-for-7 at the plate over his first two contests.

Paulsen was recalled by the Rockies on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since being demoted in May, Paulsen is hitting .276 with six home runs and 38 RBI in 272 at-bats with Triple-A Albuquerque. Paulsen was recalled as the Rockies placed Mark Reynolds on the disabled list with a hand injury. Paulsen is playing first base and hitting seventh on Friday.

Paulsen was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Daniel Descalso being activated from the disabled list, the Rockies needed to make room on the roster, and they chose Paulsen to be the casualty. He hasn't been horrible this season, batting .258 with 10 RBI, but Mark Reynolds has taken over as the starting first baseman, so the Rockies probably thought it was worth getting the 28-year-old more at-bats rather than having him rot on the bench. He'll likely be one of the first ones called up in the event of an injury to a position player, but for now, he'll settle for at-bats in the minor leagues.

Paulsen is out of the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers, Jenny Cavnar of Root Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Walt Weiss will keep Paulsen on the bench with the Dodgers bringing a lefty to the hill in Alex Wood. In his place, Brandon Barnes will earn a start in the outfield and will assume leadoff duties.

Paulsen is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paulsen is off to a hot start this season, hitting .324/.378/.559 with one home fun and nine RBI. With southpaw Scott Kazmir on the mound for the Dodgers, Paulsen will take a seat while right-handed bat Ryan Raburn gets the start to optimize the lineup matchups.

Paulsen went 1-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Monday's game against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Paulsen has been seeing the ball well lately, collecting six hits in his last 15 at-bats. The home run was Paulsen's first of the year after hitting 11 in 116 games a season ago. He should continue to see the majority of at-bats at first base against right-handed pitching.

Paulsen is out of Saturday's lineup against the Cubs, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oddly, Ryan Raburn will get the start in left field, even with righty Jake Arrieta on the mound. The expectation was that Paulsen would see regular playing time in left field against righties with Charlie Blackmon (toe) on the disabled list, but it may not be as regular as initially anticipated.

Paulsen is expected to see regular playing time in left field with Charlie Blackmon (toe) on the disabled list, Nick Groke of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gerardo Parra is taking Blackmon's place in center field, leaving a spot open in left for Paulsen. After being stuck in a first base platoon with Mark Reynolds for the beginning of the season, Paulsen could find himself in a regular role as the Rockies' left fielder with Blackmon sidelined. Paulsen doesn't quite have the same power as other members of the Rockies' lineup, but he can hit for a solid average and get on base.

Paulen went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Wednesday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The playing time has been limited so far for Paulsen, but he's certainly outhitting Mark Reynolds, who's clipping along at a .167 pace, in the early going. While Reynolds could hardly ask for a better situation than Colorado, he's a one-dimensional hitter and Paulsen should be able to surpass him in playing time as the season goes on.

Paulsen is in the starting lineup Wednesday, batting seventh and playing first base, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Paulsen started on the bench Tuesday despite the fact that right-hander Jeff Samardzija started for the Giants, but the first baseman will slot back into the starting lineup with right-hander Jake Peavy on the mound for San Francisco. Paulsen hasn't been hitting all that well, but he is doing just a bit better than Mark Reynolds, so there is a chance that Paulsen could garner more starts in the coming days if he can take advantage of each start he does receive.
