Gomber (3-5) was tagged with the loss Saturday against the Pirates after allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk while fanning five across four innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber gave up two homers -- to Adam Frazier in the first and Ka'ai Tom in the fourth -- and didn't have enough run support to avoid the loss. Gomber has given up two or fewer earned runs in each of his last four appearances, though, and he owns a 4.55 ERA on the season. His next scheduled start will come next week at home against the Athletics.

Gomber (3-4) picked up the win Monday, allowing two runs on four hits over eight innings in a 3-2 victory over the Mets. He struck out eight without walking a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw did serve up two solo shots, but otherwise Gomber took care of an undermanned Mets lineup, tossing 70 of 103 pitches for strikes. He's delivered two straight quality starts and six on the season, and he'll carry a 4.56 ERA and 55:22 K:BB through 53.1 innings into his next outing.

Gomber hurled six innings against San Diego on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk while striking out seven. He did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander registered his second straight strong start and has allowed only one earned run over his past 11.1 innings. The lone run scored against Gomber on Tuesday came on a groundout in the second inning. He tied his season high with seven punchouts, induced 15 swinging strikes and lowered his ERA to 4.96 on the campaign. Gomber's next start is tentatively scheduled for Monday in New York against the Mets.

Gomber didn't factor into the decision in a 3-2 extra-inning win over the Padres during the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader, giving up one unearned run on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty put together perhaps his best start of the season, throwing 55 of 83 pitches for strikes and exiting the game in line for a win. Despite Wednesday's impressive showing, Gomber will take a 5.49 ERA and 40:21 K:BB through 39 innings into his next outing.

Gomber (2-4) allowed five earned runs on six hits while striking out seven across five innings, taking the loss to the Cardinals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber's inconsistencies continued Friday, surrendering a pair of home runs to Harrison Bader and the opposing pitcher Jack Flaherty. Despite the loss, Gomber didn't walk anyone for the first time in seven starts this season. The 27-year-old has a 6.35 ERA and 34 strikeouts in 34 innings. He will look to get back on track in his next start against the Padres on Wednesday.

Gomber (2-3) allowed four runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings, earning the win against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber bounced back posting a quality start after a brutal appearance last Monday. He allowed a solo home run to Andrew Young in the sixth inning Saturday. The 27-year-old has a 5.90 ERA through 29 innings. However, if you take away his previous outing, his ERA is only 3.32 in 27.1 innings. His next start is scheduled for Friday in St. Louis.

Gomber (1-3) allowed nine runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out three over just 1.2 innings in a loss to the Giants on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber surrendered just one hit over 6.1 innings against the Giants on April 9 but wasn't able to replicate that same success Monday. The 27-year-old recorded just five outs as he was rocked for seven hits while managing to throw only 34 of his 64 pitches for strikes. He gave up four runs in the opening frame and was charged with five more in the second after Jhoulys Chacin allowed all three inherited runners to score when he replaced Gomber with the bases loaded. The lefty currently leads all qualified pitchers with 19 walks over 23 total innings and now owns the second-worst qualifying ERA in baseball at 6.65. He'll look for a rebound performance Saturday against the Diamondbacks in Arizona.

Gomber (1-2) allowed two runs on two hits and a pair of walks with six strikeouts in six innings, earning the win Wednesday versus the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
The only damage on Gomber's line came from a Yuli Gurriel two-run homer in the second inning. Gomber showed improved control, only allowing two walks for the second consecutive start. He has a 3.38 ERA and 1.17 WHIP across 21.1 innings this season, but his K:BB is 20:15 through four starts. The southpaw has worked at least six innings in each of his last three outings, and he's scheduled to take the mound Monday in San Francisco.

Gomber allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Justin Turner smacked a three-run homer off Gomber, but the lefty was strong otherwise and was even briefly in line to beat the defending World Series champs before Yency Almonte coughed up the lead. Gomber, acquired in the Nolan Arenado trade, issued seven free passes over three innings in his Rockies debut at Coors Field. In two road starts since, Gomber has pitched 12.1 innings with only seven hits allowed, six walks and 12 strikeouts. Unfortunately, he's home again next week, but then Gomber projects for a couple more road starts the week of April 26.

Gomber (0-2) allowed two runs on a hit and four walks over 6.1 innings in a loss to the Giants on Friday. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Gomber still had some difficulty with control, but Friday's outing was a noticeable improvement from his first start. The southpaw hasn't been punished too much for his high walk rate -- he has a 2.89 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with seven strikeouts and 11 free passes across 9.1 innings this year. He's still in search of his first win with the Rockies, and he's expected to make his next start Thursday versus the Dodgers.
